Off to a strong start as every participant got '7 rings' correct! The crop was extremely PINK which is highly representative of the aesthetic of the video, so makes sense.

Yay I got at least one :cheer: :kink: (well, at least two, there is one other that is rather obvious of course x)

This one was not quite as successful as we're down to 4/6 correct answers. This shot was the bottom half of Ariana's outfit in the 'Dangerous Woman' video. The visuals are pretty simple for this song and rely more on looks and mood rather than plot. I guess the same could be said of 'Love Me Harder' too so I can see why that was also attempted.

Dangerous Woman was a very instant one for me. The outfit she wears in it is very memorable :)

We're back to a full house thanks to Ariana's Christmas staple 'Santa Tell Me'! She spends a lot of the video on her bed with friends so I decided to incorporate the headboard for this crop. Turns out that was a pretty recognisable object! Well, I suppose it does get a lot of rotation every year on the music channels.

#2 the first of my many wrong guesses x (and I put Dangerous Woman for a different one so that's 2 wrong answers for me confirmed at once lol)

 

My memory of the 'Santa Tell Me' video prominently having a bed in it coming through for #3 though :cheer: x

#04 Into You

We have another full house now so you guys are very good at this! Like 'Santa Tell Me' I felt that the 'Into You' video had a very memorable object with the bike, so I took the wing mirror from that for this one. That is now two 'Dangerous Woman' singles revealed... stayed tuned to find out if that era got even more representation elsewhere.

#4 was one of the ones where I do remember the video scene it's taken from but wasn't certain about which song it was, good that I did manage to identify it correctly!

Now I went old school with Ari's debut era 'Yours Truly'! I was intrigued for the outcome of this one as this is far from an Ariana videography standout. But also the microphone crop is quite prominent in it, with Ari and Nathan opting for studio footage throughout, so not totally unguessable or anything. Jord chose the wrong Ariana collab on this occasion. The 'Beauty and the Beast' video is superior tbh.

Next up we have another 'Yours Truly' collab! This was the first Ariana music video I ever watched and the standout features for me were always Ari and Mac's chemistry plus the balloons. Cropping Ariana and Mac would be a bit too easy so balloons it was. Most of you picked up on this but unfortunately Bré guessed 'Dangerous Woman' for the wrong one!

Almost Is Never Enough has got to be one her videos that I've seen the least but I remember it being pretty dull from the video rate we did :lol:

I actually put Almost Is Never Enough as a guess for #5 half as a joke but it was right anyway :cheeseblock: (I did have some logic just remembering that it was a cheap studio recording video but still definitely wasn't expecting that to be right lmao)

Back to the 'thank u, next' era now and another #1 hit but not the easiest of crops. This image was Ariana stepping outside in the video with her hand on a railing while the sky is looking pretty, amongst the darkness, in the background. Bré incorrectly guessed 'One Last Time' but she does similarly stand on a roof-top kind of area in that video too so not a million miles away.

Next we visit the 'Sweetener' era for the first time! It's none of the three well-loved hits though and instead a promo single. The darkness from the 'break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored' video continues but instead Ariana is combatting this with a circular lit up object that she holds in the crop. The guesses of 'Right There' and 'Love Me Harder' were a bit too early in her career. Interestingly the latter has been attempted twice so far without actually showing up!

Quite happy with how I’m doing so far!

 

I was actually considering the light is coming on #8! I went for Love Me Harder as for some reason I thought the light orb was the moon and I swear there’s a moon in that video in one scene :lol:
