Two dinghies were thought to be massively overloaded and developed leaks. :( From Sky News: Fishermen in boats describe seeing two small dinghies, one with people onboard and another empty with people motionless floating in the cold sea; officials in northern France say they fear the death toll will rise. 31 now. Apparently 50 crammed in the dinghy and 5 or 6 found alive so far. :( Edited November 24, 20213 yr by cider man
November 24, 20213 yr Awful news :( UK coastguard forces and helicopters need to keep more of a lookout in the Channel to try and prevent such tragedies from happening again.

November 24, 20213 yr How awful :cry: I just can’t at the mentality of so many that it’s okay to be making people take these unnecessary risks. It’s all very well moaning about it whilst you’re out buying food and returning to your comfy houses, none of us have any idea of what it’s like to be so desperate that you think taking these risks is worth it.

Words such as ‘migrant’ are deliberately used by those with influential power to imply that they are somehow a subcategory of a person and that they have less value than a person. Words are powerful things when it comes to influencing perception.
