Posted December 18, 20213 yr So thought we could have a go at putting together tracklist ideas for a potential 25 year Greatest Hits. I'd imagine a few editions would be done so there would likely be a 2 disc anthology with everything and maybe some from the vault / some new tracks.... BUT for this challenge you can only have 21 tracks for a 1CD release what you going to choose???

December 18, 20213 yr Author Tried to think of a mixture of old or new tracks... in terms of popularity I am thinking AHYOW / SOAH should be replaced with Heartbreak in this city with Michelle Visage though, personally I'd rather one of the other two tracks.

December 18, 20213 yr I think they would need at least 3 brand new songs to really make it feel worth while for the fans, the casuals probably wouldnt be bothered either way as they would buy it for the hits but I dont want any reworked versions of old songs,that concept doessnt work for me at all as I find overall new versions suck the life out of what I originally liked about the song but others may disagree, any artists I like who done this previously was just disappointing for me,Kylie, Take That, Bon Jovi, Snow Patrol. Nina West, I really like that album cover.
December 18, 20213 yr ^ the cover is from the official Steps Spotify's "Best of Steps" playlist :kink: it'd work really well for a GH though! 21 tracks is tough as I think they'd need at least a couple of new songs to make a third hits compilation feel worthwhile for a lot of potential purchasers. December 19, 20213 yr A new greatest hits would probably be a help for them with streaming if they allocate all the streams to the new greatest hits rather than splitting them with previous releases.
