Hazell Dean - Who's Leaving Who

Love this, one of my favourite songs of the 80s, SAW at their best! I gave it 22 points so I'm really happy to see it score points from elsewhere too.

Great to see 'Joyride' pick up a few points too, love me a bit of Roxette :)

Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark - Maid Of Orleans (The Waltz Joan of Arc)

Ike and Tina Turner - Nutbush City Limits

One of two songs from the Architecture & Morality album called Joan Of Arc, the title was changed for the single release as the first one had already been a top 5 hit. The song's unusual structure was no hindrance to it becoming a huge success across Europe and it was the best selling single of 1982 in Germany. Also here is Nutbush City Limits from 1973 which was Tina Turner's last top 40 single until her revival ten years later.

Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston – When You Believe

From 1998, this was written for the film 'The Prince Of Egypt'. Despite the two singers having a stack of US number 1 singles between them, the song only got to number 15 over there. X Factor winner Leon Jackson's cover version was the Christmas number 1 in 2007.

The Fray - How To Save A Life

Olivia Rodrigo - Deja Vu

How To Safe A Life spent eight weeks going up and down from 7 to 5 before finally spending one week at number 4 and a total of 67 weeks in the top 100. It remains as The Fray's only top 10 single. We also have something more recent from Olivia Rodrigo.

Taylor Swift - We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together

Taylor Swift loses the second of her three number 4s. Released in 2012, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together was her first top 20 single since Love Story got to number 2 in 2008.

The Fray song is beautiful and was one of the last I cut, which I’m now regretting as I’m guessing a few points might have seen it through!
Sad to see Maid Of Orleans drop (presumably) so near the end. I gave it 23... wonder if 30 would have been enough.

Mariah Carey - It's Like That

En Vogue - My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It)

Michelle Gayle - Sweetness

London Boys - Requiem

Shania Twain - I'm Gonna Getcha Good!

After several singles failed to chart, this was the first hit for the Germany based British duo who were tragically killed in a motor accident along with one of their wives eight years later. Mariah Carey loses another song but she still has two left.

Good to see other voters for Michelle Gayle and London Boys, i thought i might be the only voter for these songs and same for joyride by Roxette.

Alex Clare - Too Close

The Shirelles - Will You Love Me Tomorrow?

Released in 1960, Will You Love Me Tomorrow? is the oldest song to receive votes. The Shirelles had two further top 40 hits. More than 50 years later, Alex Clare got to number 4 with Too Close, it's still his only top 40 single.

Yvonne Elliman - If I Can't Have You

Alicia Keys – Empire State of Mind (Part II) Broken Down

If I Can't Have You was the fourth single released from the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack with all four of them reaching number 1 in the US. Its writers the Bee Gees recorded their own version and put it on the B side of their Stayin' Alive single which is also in this poll. Also here is Alicia Keys' second version of Empire State Of Mind from 2010.

Fleetwood Mac - Everywhere

Michael Jackson - They Don't Care About Us

The KLF - America : What Time Is Love?

Jennifer Paige - Crush

This was the last of the KLF's sequence of five top 5 singles spread across three different years. Its showing on TOTP two weeks ago came too late to give it a possible points boost. From 1988, Everywhere was Fleetwood Mac's highest charting single since a re-issue of Albatross got to number 2 in 1973. Michael Jackson loses a second song but he has one left. Finally, Crush by Jennifer Paige is from 1998 and was her only top 40 hit.

Good to see KLF picked up votes. crush is another good song by jennifer paige i remember buying it on cassette.

'They Don't Care About Us' is a clear highlight on Michael Jackson's History album. Too bad the absurd amount of competition prevented it from getting any points from me!
Still so much great stuff tumbling. George, Alex Clare, Fleetwood Mac, The KLF... I agree that They Don't Care About Us is a great later-stage MJ song too, wasn't it a midweek #1 and a bit of a chart shock at the time when it only went in at #4?
