Interesting that Ella’s team went for a full price album, The Shires and Bryan Adams being £6.99 on iTunes.

I guess they will discount it quite quickly if there is a chance of better than expected success and good promo?

Must here you Ella also £6.99

The Mysterines not off to the best of starts 😬

Top 8 is much higher than I expected for a small band with those much larger names above them! I’m not sure how you could expect much higher really.

Their sales will come down to physicals anyway.

Ella now #1 on iTunes, holding up well and a sizeable gig on Tuesday to boost sales.

Should make a top 5(?)…

so far Shires re still #1, guess there was some late sale to try and get some last minute sales, same for Ella

1 Shires

2 NEW Charli XCX

3 NEW Feeder

4 Ella Henderson

5 NEW ArrDee

24 NEW Rosalia :/

Awful start for Arrdee, was fully expecting a no1 album.

I'd compare him with Central Cee who started his week where he got to no.1 officially with being around the same position as this on iTunes albums. It's all streaming with these guys. And ArrDee has a LOT of singles on there...

That is a pretty lacklustre showing for Sea Girls though (although I presume their sales will be predominantly physical).

Looks like another week that does not have an immediately obvious #1 album! Would be nice if ROSALÍA can at least make the top 100 this time but not going to hold my breath for that lol ~

Pretty sure it'll be ArrDee or Charli (I REALLY wanted to say Feeder, but there's not a chance in hell they'll pick up the streams to bridge what I think will be the gap between ArrDee's and theirs - although think they're in with a shot at sales #1 [or physical #1, at the very least])

I predict...

Sales:

1) Feeder

2) Charli

3) Sea Girls

Streams:

1) ArrDee

2) None of the above

3) None of the above

Combined:

1) ArrDee

2) Charli

3) Feeder

Charli has never even had a top 10 album before so it'd be quite a turnaround if she was challenging for #1 this time!

She seems to think she is on Facebook... Gives the impression she has a fair few preordered?

Arrdee or Charli getting the No1 would be great! Prefer Arrdee's album I think but both of course very different.

1 NEW Michael Bublé - Higher

2 NEW Placebo - Never Let Me Go

3 NEW Machine Gun Kelly - mainstream sellout

4 NEW Matt Goss - The Beautiful Unknown

I think it’ll probably be close between Michael Bible and MGK. Michael will do good on physicals but he’s not as huge of a seller as he was. MGK will have decent streams and I think he’s got a good fan base that’ll buy multiple formats.

Ah didn’t realise it was that much, thought it was like 40k. Yeah he should easily take it then.

Edit: Just checking now, the 66,794 his last album sold first week was actually an increase on the 55,087 the album before that sold, both being Q4 releases. I assume this album will drop in sales but should still be boosted by Mother's Day. I'll say around 40k this time around.

Also just seen MGK only opened with 9.862 with his last album. I think there will be a big increase but definitely not enough to challenge Buble. Maybe 20kish.
