That looked bad immediately and I don't like the lack of news now.

Saw the onboard from one of the Alpha Tauri's (I think Gasly) got squeezed by the other and Zhou. The 2 AT's made contact and the car on the right swung into to Zhou and laanched him.

 

Sorry it wasn't the other AT It was Russell I think

It ended up being a thrilling race, but was very worrying and concerning at the start, really shows how incredible the safety is of these cars now.

 

I think even without the safety car it would have been a great ending for the top 3, but some of the racing after that was superb. Delighted for Sainz getting a win, but Ferrari really messing up Leclerc, not quite sure why they didn't pit him.

amazing race, so happy Sanz got his 1st win (finally!!)

the last laps were incredible to watch, when Leclerc and Perez were fighting and then Hamilton came from behind and passed them both, that was pure genius (and Im a Hamilton-hater)

Worst driver: Nobody was bad but Russell drifting over like that was very questionable

Best team: Aston Martin - quietly progressed both cars well

Worst team: Alpha Tauri

Best overtake: Leclerc passing Hamilton

Worst overtake: Zhou passes the tech-pro barrier

Best moment: Everything after the safety car

Worst moment: The first lap crash was awful but the idea of a sit down protest on the Wellington straight is insane. You don't play chicken with 20 F1 cars whatever your cause.

Best thing about the race: Pretty much all of it after the first lap

Worst thing about the race: It was a shame that Verstappen wasn't in the fight too

 

And the race in a sentence: Leclerc finally realises the biggest threat to his title hopes is his own team

Such an fun race to watch. Huge congrats to Sainz for his first win. (And I'm glad that this year Spanish national anthem isn't only played at MotoGP :lol:)

That was intense, absolutely terrifying crash but just so relieved and amazed that there was no serious harm to the drivers.

That crash was insane. It’s mad to me that many people in the past were against something like the halo. It literally saves lives…..

 

Mental that Sainz has not won a race before - Ferrari really did seem to screw Leclerc over by not pitting him, making him a sitting duck.

 

Was great to see Lewis challenge - would have been interesting to see how Russell would have done against him

 

Mick finally getting points. Latifi almost being there too was a bit of a surprise

 

& the birthday boy got points! (Excellent tyre management to even get Vettel as high as 7th)

another super bad weekend for Ricciardo, he's really not recovering and at and all time low...

WHAT A RACE. Best race I've ever been to by miles and possibly the best dry race I've ever seen. My partner is a Sainz fan so for her it was even better.

 

 

Best driver: Perez [tough one to call. he got lucky with the SC but certainly made the most of it]

Worst driver: Tsunoda [tangling with your team mate is the #1 F1 sin]

Best team: Ferrari [fastest car if again they may have thrown away a 1-2]

Worst team: Alfa Romeo [harsh but they were the only team with a double DNF so...]

Best overtake: Leclerc on Hamilton [i was right there at Copse and my jaw hit the floor]

Worst overtake: Leclerc on Perez [this one was too overambitious and cost both drivers some performance]

Best moment: That 3-way battle between Perez, Hamilton & Leclerc [i totally lost my shit for these laps]

Worst moment: Zhou crash [or more specifically that wait not knowing if he was alright or not]

Best thing about the race: It showcased the new regulations to their maximum potential with close excellent racing

Worst thing about the race: Russell being eliminated on lap 1 of his home race after never finishing outside the top 5 previously is peak Russell

 

And the race in a sentence: Finally Sainz's day after a long wait. Silverstone produces races which are great!
