Really good games today, really thought Alcaraz could win over Berretini, but he's too good at serving

Kinda knew Osaka would be losing today so no surprises

Sad to see Osaka out but I'm really glad she seems a lot happier and at peace herself, her break from the sport must have done her a lot of good.

Kecmanović is certainly making the most of not playing Djokovic in the first round, he's in the Fourth Round now!

Dan Evans out in the third round in straight sets, well who would've expected him to be the last Brit standing in the first place

even if the second round was handed to him

Into the Quarter-Finals of the Australian Open now - 17th seed Gaël Monfils is the lowest-seeded man left in the competition, meanwhile the women's singles look a lot more open.

Two-time Grand Slam winner Simona Halep is out of the Australian Open, losing in three sets to France's Alize Cornet in hot conditions in Melbourne.

In temperatures of 32C, Cornet won 6-4 3-6 6-4 to reach a major quarter-final for the first time in 63 attempts.

It broke the record of Thailand's Tamarine Tanasugarn, who reached the last eight at Wimbledon in 2008 in her 45th Grand Slam.

Kanepi was lucky to play against Sabalenka but she played horribly, so many mistakes

luckily for her, Sabalenka was even worst, 1 ball in, 9 balls out, how can she be #2 in the world, never seen anyone playing worst

wow at the Nadal-Shapalopov game, Nadal had stomach issues and still won, really thought he was gonna retire during set 4

Medvedev is serving very well but playing badly, he's lucky he gets 3 aces per game, it's easy to win like that but overall he's playing bad, same for Berretini

Rafael Nadal is "100%" given preferential treatment by umpires, claimed Denis Shapovalov after his defeat by the Spaniard in their Australian Open quarter-final.

Shapovalov was unhappy with the amount of time he thought Nadal was taking between points and twice complained to umpire Carlos Bernardes.

"I think it's unfair how much Rafa is getting away with," said Shapovalov.

was very very very disappointed with Shapolapov's attitude all thru the game... I genuinely liked him but he kinda lost me as a fan there, bad bad attitude

how bad was the Petula-Barty game, guess Pegula was nervous but she played like if she were the 999 in the world

What an exciting men's QF going on at the moment to make up for the very one sided Barty match.

Hoping for a Medvedev vs Nadal final, it would be a win either way. Nadal could edge ahead of Djokovic on slam wins, or Daniil could claim #1 in the rankings (? - late next month once points from last year are dropped). Both outcomes would be the icing on the cake for the Novax saga.

American Danielle Collins said it felt "incredible" to reach the Australian Open semi-finals less than a year after taking an indefinite break from tennis.

Collins, 28, had surgery for endometriosis in April, returning to action two months later.

Now the 27th seed has reached her second semi-final in Melbourne after a 7-5 6-1 win over France's Alize Cornet.

Collins faces seventh seed Iga Swiatek, who beat veteran Kaia Kanepi 4-6 7-6 (7-2) 6-3, in Thursday's semi-final.

Poland's Swiatek, who won the 2020 French Open title as a teenager, will play in her second Grand Slam semi-final after coming through an intense battle which lasted more than three hours.

Both Barty and Collins winning their matches in two sets - they're both on form! Looks like Barty is the one to beat though. The men's tournament seems to very much be going with the script at the moment.

What a fantastic final with Rafael Nadal coming from two sets down to win in 5 hours 24 minutes! He now goes one ahead of Federer and Djokovic with 21 grand slams.

Watched the whole thing, brilliant match and certainly was not expecting Nadal to come back from 2 sets down! With the FO next he's in pole position to extend his lead at the top too.

wow craziest game ever, so long, every game with Nadal serving lasted ages, think it was nearly 6 hours in the end

so glad Nadal won, totally deserved, especially as his service was not great today
