For future reference setting up one of these rooms really doesn't require any 'technical knowhow', you just go to https://sync-tube.de/ and click 'create room' then it's as simple as copy and pasting the URLs of the videos into the text box at the top of the screen.

As I've been trying to explain to people since January but people as always on here are too f***ing bone idle to actually chip in and help with stuff, but perfectly happy to rely on others to do stuff for them. This is in no means an issue solely restricted to this particular event - I'm sure actual mods/event runners on here for stuff like BJSC and chart threads etc etc. Honestly think it's a bit arrogant to expect someone to give up 6 months on Sundays just because they had the idea and you can't be arsed to click a button and copy and paste/edit a few lines of text.

There's also a lot of other glaring issues with this site that I've been politely ignoring for months but can't be arsed with anymore such as it being a far left echo chamber, it being incredibly clique, 50 year old men acting like teenagers and general nonsense that goes on here.

There was a genuine reason for missing today's session and not notifying you but seen as none of you have even deigned to ask my f***ing name in 3 months of bending my real life schedule to accommodate these sessions, putting a fair bit of effort in juggling my schedule to fit round them and doing as much I can to keep this event ticking why should I care to divulge it.

Good riddance to this shithole of a forum. Either way it looks as though I'm no longer going to be available to host these events for the next few months.

Anyway I'm happy unlikely to be around to host these events for at least a few months. (And no I'm not going to prison before you start calling me deranged enough to end up in one like other people whov've managed to work out what a moronic site this is).

Sorry you feel like that, your job was really appreciated even if you didn't feel like it was

@Chartfridays - also sorry you feel like that. Clearly these sessions were a big commitment from you, but a great idea and many of us have been enjoying them. At the same time, the rest of us have other commitments which we've been trying to fit around these sessions too. When you said on the day you couldn't do one of the previous sessions, I suggested and we agreed to skip that week, not because no one could be bothered to host instead, but because I thought you would want to attend them all. Equally you suggested changing the times but said Sunday evening wouldn't work for you, so we ruled that out. Perhaps we weren't clear whether you wanted to keep hosting them yourself or actually wanted someone to take over and were happy to miss the occasional session. I don't know the circumstances yesterday, but a number of us had fit this session around other commitments as I said, so we went ahead, Julian did a fine job of hosting and that's how we'll continue the week after next. I'm not going to respond to your other points, just sorry it didn't work out for you.

Also sorry you feel like that Chartfridays but mainly just want to say thank you so much for having this brilliant idea and setting it up, and for all your hard work running it until now. I’m happy to take over and Ed has kindly volunteered to resurrect doing the info and chart runs, so normal service will resume in 2 weeks!

In the meantime check out the pre 00s forum where I’ll be doing an update on the worst #1 shortlist shortly (I’m braced for the inevitable row with Jim over Star Trekkin’ ).

Yeah thanks for setting this up chartfridays - it’s a great idea - looking forward to continuing with them in a fortnight :)
1980s worst #1 shortlist now up for comments in the pre 00s forum! I think we have included everything that was considered by the majority to be worthy in the sessions, and also Star Trekkin’ (sorry Jim - Ed insisted)!
@Chartfridays, not sure you’ll read this or care about my views (which is fine btw) I just wanted to personally apologise for not supporting your weekly shows more, it’s bad on my part for taking it for granted. I’m glad though that you appear to have had a regular following each week though. Perhaps if I had arranged my affairs better I could, and should, have joined in more often. I hope you take this as a message of thanks for all that you’ve given to this small community up until now. I hope you won’t give up on it forever.
