I'd have preferred 'Where Life Begins' over 'Words' to have made the Top 3 but not too surprising given how low it was appearing in people's ranks.

 

'Survival' placing second for 'Bedtime Stories' is definitely a shock, I'd have had 'Love Tried to Welcome Me' in there and, failing that, 'Inside of Me' (which was nearly last place!). I do like it though, I agree with CJK that it sets the tone nicely and sums up the message behind the album really well.

 

Didn't know so many others had the same dislike of Love Song.

I think, for me, it's that two of the biggest stars in the world at the time - Madonna and Prince - came together for a collaboration and that was what they came up with. You would think that if they were going to release something together it would have been in consideration for a single, maybe even the lead... but I would imagine the record company would have though, "Nah... album track."

Apparently there were several tracks that they collaborated on but were abandoned as there wasn't much connection between Madonna and Prince. Makes sense given how limp 'Love Song' is, certainly says a lot that it was considered the best of the bunch.

 

Next up, here are the results for Madonna's 2nd soundtrack album I'm Breathless.We have a whopping 10 tracks competing and only 3 places in the next round, so what has made it? For the first time too, we have songs not receiving a single point :o

Awww 'Sooner or Later' not making it. :( Granted, the Oscar performance version is far superior but the original is still good.

I had Something To Remember first, followed by He's A Man and then Back In Business so again very happy with the results :lol: I'm not too fussed on what has missed out either but I am glad those two horrors have both scored 0 points each :rofl:

Any of the top 5 would have been worthy additions, Sooner or Later is still a brilliant song so shame it didn’t make it, but so thrilled for He’s a Man.

This was a very interesting one to track. The top 2 are miles ahead, but then literally any of the remaining ones could've made it with a slight push! Very close :drama:

Ummm... what??? Is this new information because I can't believe I've been your ally for this long knowing you have this viewpoint.

I never thought Music was that good as an album. But I was comparing it to Ray of Light, which was her best.

Then came American Life, which I considered really quite poor.

Music is an amazing album every track i love !
