I’d like Emma’s for completions sake. I don’t think she’d reveal anything too juicy though e.g her and Fuller having a relationship.

To be fair, would you admit to having this face in your muff?

Baby Bunton would have never done it, she too classy to let Fuller to play on her muff turf!

Ticky Vicky however was seen cuddling Simon during that Impulse advert filming (cant find the bloody video anymore though... I smell a conspiracy!!!)

She’s a lovely dominatrix. I bet she would. That’s also girl power: men are just for pleasure.

I think that she would go “safe”, but I don’t think she would skip the juicy stuff. I love the videos where she basically shades Geri for being bossy and wanting to have the last words “even when she wasn’t right”. Love the classy shady Emma of the Forever era. And I’m sure she’s got much more to say.

I might be wrong, but I’m sure if they were to write an autobiography at the same time right now, knowing that “sales matter”, this would be how it’d go in terms of juiciness, from juicier to bland:

1. Mel B

2. Victoria

3. Emma

4. Mel C

5. Geri

hhhmmmm... I would go:

1. Mel B

2. Emma

3. Victoria

4. Mel C

5. Geri

Vicky has mellowed even more with age, so I highly doubt she would be too controversial. Although I would like to see a new biog from her, actually.

Yeah, Vicky and Emma are quite similar, but maybe.. maybe Emma wins when it comes to being naughty and cheeky.

Melanie C is probably the one who remembers things more clearly. I love how Emma forgot about single releases, videos, tours and stuff that happened not a long time ago. LOL

I don’t remember Mel B’s recent autobiography being particularly juicy in terms of the Spice Girls! Though the overwhelming focus of that book was the men who’ve been in her life and how she was treated by them, so I suppose that book’s remit wasn’t to be overly interesting about the Spice Girls.

Personally I think Emma is way too conscious of her image as “nice Spice” to be too honest or controversial with an autobiography. I could imagine a book of hers being quite a fluffy read that wouldn’t offend, so she’d swerve some truths to achieve that image. Though I’d still like her to do one.

I doubt a new Victoria autobiography would be any more interesting than her 2001 book tbh, probably less so considering she wasn’t afraid of coming across as a tabloid celebrity at that stage. She’s above that now & way too focused on how Brand Beckham is perceived for her to truly open up and be honest about her life, imo.

Geri - a total enigma, who knows what tone a new book by her would take?

So honestly… I think Melanie C’s book has the best potential to be frank about things.

And that’s how a new Spice was born: Enigma Spice

I am so honoured to welcome my first ever Spice Girl to How To Fail! Today Melanie Chisholm - the artist formerly known as Mel C or even Sporty Spice - joins me in what is arguably her most open interview yet.

She tells me about the impact of her parents' divorce, the extreme lengths of her people-pleasing as one of the most famous stars of the 1990s and her own struggles with her body. She talks bravely about the toxic impact of media attention on her weight, and how she developed an eating disorder. This led her into a very dark mental space where she felt dishonest about the image she was portraying to the outside world. Melanie also opens up about a sexual assault she endured while on tour in Turkey and her thoughts of suicide at her lowest points.

And yet the extraordinary thing about Melanie is her resilience and her enduring gentleness. She is SO lovely, and we also have laugh-out-loud moments, including an unforgettable karaoke anecdote involving her and Baby Spice surprising some unsuspecting punters...

What. A. Woman.

The only reveal that was shocking to me in Mel AB’s first book was that the girls talked after Forever flopped and half of them decided to not continue.

Emma & Melanie C?

I absolutely hate podcasts they are so restrictive. As a deaf person I struggle to follow videos where I can lip-read through the screen nevermind a blank screen with a voice, and they never ever provide subtitles. Yet in that short snippet they are able to.

Yet another barrier for deaf people, shame as the interview sounds amazing.

Emma & Melanie C?

I'd bet on it being Melanie C and Victoria. Victoria's music career suggests she's more affected by failure than the other two. And Melanie C clearly wasn't feeling it at all.

Not that I personally view Forever as a failure - it did great by the standards of any other UK artists at the time.

I imagine Victoria would've been itching to get her solo album together too.

Emma and Mel B would have continued for sure, both have said so in the past, which is funny because they were the ONLY girls who had their own solo music out at the time or were on the verge of releasing (Bunton's album came in April 2001 so by the time the group decided to quit, she was pretty much done with recording the album).

It really saddens me they didnt carry on with the group at the time. Of course, Mel C had her reasons but it always feels so sad to me, specially cos they had great potential as a foursome still... They just got some of the major calls wrong and were'nt really united as a group anymore... Somehow their spark got lost in 1999 which was a shame...

IM sorry, you are totally right. If I get to listen to it I will try and write down the breakdown here
