February 7, 20223 yr Dermot Kennedy did drop a new version of 'Better Days' featuring EARTHGANG last week, obviously not a big enough name to give the song a huge boost but that may have been the difference between it getting a third decline vs. a very small increase to keep it on SCR? I did think the new entries seemed weirdly high on First Look, the positions today are much more what I would have predicted. RHCP are holding up decently enough on Spotify so I would think they might still have a chance of hanging onto the top 40 anyway? Kind of a shame to see Black Country, New Road not at #2 today (The Divine Comedy were not on my radar at all) but hopefully they should be safe to get another top 5 album at the very least if not hanging onto the top 3. Nice to see Mitski as high as the top 5, she'll almost definitely drop out but definitely coming for a huge improvement on the peak of her last album! Similar to The Weeknd who has had album peaks of 1-5-1-1 (after his first Album peaked at 12) With curiously the #5 having the highest opening sales of the four :lol: just suffering heavily from a Q4 drop. Great to see BCNR over 5k already :cheer: based on that sales info they'll probably end the week #5 at the very least (unless their sales get magically removed yes occ i've seen you do this before xx) I think it that happens again that would warrant us marching a cavalcade through the OCC offices x

February 8, 20223 yr 100% this. Liam is ok on Twitter but can't see any relevance musically. I don’t get this, he’s purposely insufferable on Twitter but he was part of one of the biggest bands the UK has ever seen and his three solo albums have been massive and really good.

February 8, 20223 yr Pretty much all of Liam's solo stuff is dreary and formulaic. The new one lasted three plays on my new music playlist this week before I've discarded it, which tbh probably makes Bjork right, it is his best solo song!
