Ya most are using that picture which i suppose is fair as Neighbours was at its peak then, i was wondering would Kylie acknowledge the axe news myself and when she didnt i pretty much thought that answered the question if she would return, maybe she will give them some money to keep the show going for another while!!

Yeah, I mentioned in the main Neighbours Axed thread in the TV forum that I was looking out for 'Suddenly' to appear. Maybe it's not far off - a shame kworb only shows a Top 100 now.

 

Interestingly there's no sign of either on Australian iTunes.

If kylie agreed to do something on neighbours do you think she would make a guest appearance as kylie or return as charlene.

Surely the expectation would be to return as Charlene wouldn’t it. Can you imagine, Charlene, Scott and you could even get their son Daniel with them. I mean I know the actor that played Daniel isn’t as big as Kylie and Jason but it’d Ben nice I think.

I don't think Kylie can save Neighbours in Oz. I don't think they care that much for her.

I think saving it will all fall to the uk market as thats where they need a partnership plus the show is far more popular in the uk.

^^ Exactly this, it would have fallen years ago were it not for the popularity and cash flow from the UK. Viewing figures for it in Australia are dire and have been for a long time.

 

I think one of the things that goes against Neighbours is the fact the cast cannot randomly pop on to Loose Women, Lorraine, This Morning etc., to plug the show and a big storyline, promo from the cast is zero in their biggest market.

Ya defo although some zoom calls could work as we learned through covid times and if it miraculously gets saved it's something they could do, also would be no harm for some channel to start a rerun of all the early episodes I know I'd happily love reliving the days of scott and Charlene.

Rumours circulating that ITV are casting an eye over Neighbours - I mean it’s gone through every other channel so could be a decent fit for ITV (especially after they lost the bidding to air ‘Home & Away’ in 2000 which they had stood by since 1989).

I think there is a chance she will return aswell.

I think she’ll return too now, maybe for a brief science or two.

With production stopping in June I would think we will know soon if kylie will do it or not.

So sad it’s finishing - but hopefully we could have some iconic returns from the likes of Kylie, Jason, Natalie Imbruglia, Guy Pearce etc.,

If they return it will be interesting to see what storyline they do that brings them back and if kylie does it I hope it's at least 2 episodes.

Neighbours are making no secret that they want Kylie back, so at this stage im sure they have tried contacting Kylie so who knows we may hear what she decides soon as apparently they show have worked out how the show will end and what the storyline will be.

I can't imagine her not making the return, she got famous because of the show!

Ya I'm really hoping she does as I think people will appreciate her remembering how big the show was for her and what it did for her career plus I'd like see and know what charlene is like now.
