Gutted to see 'Here (In Your Arms)' out :( that was incredibly close to being my +25.
Think I've lost three of my votes so far (Hellogoodbye, Walk the Moon and Arctic Monkeys), all very good but not huge favourites, let's see how long this can keep up!

Placebo's fifth single and their second to reach the top 40. The group are still going and release their first album since 2013 next month.

32. Paul Simon - You Can Call Me Al 245pts

Writer - Paul Simon

Top points - Shoat 22, chartjack2 20, Leonardo 19

This was Boymetworld91's wild card but he didn't vote this time. It's still the highest placed wildcard but has his failure to vote cost the song its place in the final? It was Paul Simon's highest charting solo single, peaking one place higher than 'Mother And Child Reunion' from 14 years before. The title was inspired by the French composer and conductor Pierre Boulez mistakenly referring to him as Al at a party.

31. Bloodhound Gang - The Bad Touch 246pts

Writer - Jimmy Pop

Top points - Roba 23, JulianT 22, Chez Wombat 21, Brer 21

From 2000, this was one of just two top 40 singles for the American band.

Ah that’s really not a welcome set of results - love all 3 of those! The Bad Touch is fabulous and unique; You Can Call Me Al is a pop classic of the highest order and Nancy Boy is one of the best 90s Indie hits.

30. The Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive 251pts

Top points - Leonardo 25, Uls2000 23, Dante77 21

From 1978, this was the second single released from the soundtrack to 'Saturday Night Fever'. It was the Bee Gees' eleventh top 10 single.

'The Bad Touch' is a huge loss, what an absolute classic. It has some of the most humorous lyrics of any song ever. "Put your hands down my pants and I'll bet you'll feel nuts" is probably my favourite line :D
Nancy Boy and, to a lesser extent, The Bad Touch are big losses. Pleasantly surprised Nancy Boy made it this high though
Some of my votes falling like flies here oops - 'The Bad Touch' is a little higher than I would have expected tbf! But a shame to see 'Stayin' Alive' falling short as well as 'You Can Call Me Al'. 'Nancy Boy' was literally the last song I cut from my votes just because I am not as familiar with it as I should be.
oh poor Nancy Boy, such an iconic Placebo single, should have qualified :/
