In an unexpected turn, LEGO are doing an official Spice Girls line! Apparently launching at some point over the next few days, with release for March/April

There are lots more deals and collabs signed for this year to come. Sadly I feel this is why actually touring and things that might involve hard work are suddenly less appealing to certain members of the group as they are making money with minimal effort right now.

 

As for the Lego collab it is perfect in terms of again it is something we all grew up with (as with the Spice Girls) but has its own collectors too. Lego collectors and Spice Girls collectors will buy them as well as 90s kids filled with nostalgia. Little Miss was pretty much the same.

I wonder why posh is included in this one but wasn’t in the little miss books? I feel it’s a glaring omission from the little miss books since the only real tangible thing they have done without her is the 2019 tour which (although huge) was a very short time span.

Because Posh wont sign on to anything that involves her having to be in a certain place/time with the other girls. SW2019, Walkers 2019, Little Miss, CoinMaster all involved the girls being actively involved, photo, filming, active as a band at specific times.

 

The only other time the 4 did something she was signed on to was a happy accident. The 1st merch drop last year was delayed when the Wannabe vinyl/cassette got delayed and by the time they got to film the coinmaster adverts it was already printed so they each did a pic with it on between filming adverts.

I'm assuming that the girls themselves had direct involvement with their own "Little Miss" book, while this is just based on old photoshoots so is more or less a "yes / no" thing that Victoria has to sign.

Any way I'm a total sucker for something like this so I'll no doubt buy the set when released on March 1st.

This is for me, the best 'merch' they have done over the past few years, a perfect toy to have as part of a collection and exactly the type of stuff I had wanted from them so I am very game for this and of course will get the set.

I think the deal with Bravado really did them wonders as it has been getting their pictures, name and brand out there in just half a year. All of that merchandise has been with Victoria's image as well, so I guess she is part of that deal.

 

When it came to Walkers, Coinmaster and Little Miss, those were very specific to the current line up of Spice Girls with their involvement so of course Posh wasnt included (and rightly so!). This, the Christmas jumper, the merch around the Spice25 and Wannabe25 stuff on their official website is all about nostalgia too, so of course it would include Posh Spice.

 

If they were to do more adverts and music (lol), Posh wouldnt be included and rightly so!

Is this going up for pre-order or do we have to wait until release date, I wonder?

 

Hopefully everyone who was interested doesn't forget about it, or lose interest... you'd think yesterday would have been the time to start getting people to order it.

Lego don't do pre-orders things just go on sale on the day of release. Hopefully they have produced enough and it isn't a big scramble on March 1st.

I know Victoria's is her 'signature' look but they could really have done with making hers more interesting. It really could be anyone.
