June 1, 20223 yr Author They are back!! All the members have posted “BFIAFL”, which likely means that the single/album is titled “Being Funny In A Foreign Language” - a phrase Matty has mentioned several times in the past. View this post on Instagram
June 12, 20223 yr Author More posters in London seemingly confirm that the new single is titled “Part of the Band”.
June 29, 20223 yr Author Postcards sent out to press today confirms that the album is titled 'Being Funny in a Foreign Language', and the tracklist is also on there! They're finally releasing a normal length album  1. The 1975 2. Happiness 3. Looking For Somebody (To Love) 4. Part Of The Band 5. Oh Caroline 6. I'm In Love With You 7. All I Need To Hear 8. Wintering 9. Human Too 10. About You 11. When We Are Together I really do think this could be their best album yet, very excited! Matty posted a teaser the other day and it does sound a little Black Country New Road-esque.
June 29, 20223 yr Not another self-titled track Legit excited though, they're a group that's grown on me a lot through their career.
July 4, 20222 yr i'm not sure why their ongoing introduction with their name bothers you so? a nice 12 track album is exactly what i wanted, so its good they listened.
July 6, 20222 yr Author The video is out at 7pm tomorrow! The description for it has accidentally revealed that the album is out on October 14th :cheer:
July 7, 20222 yr Author A masterpiece. Not at all what I was expecting, but it is gorgeous  turns out Jack Antonoff co-produced it! Video is out at 7.
July 7, 20222 yr Author I love how crisp the violins sound, gives me vibes of certain Vampire Weekend tracks.
July 7, 20222 yr I really thought Anton Corbijn is a director of the video but it's not. Anyway, it's very similar to his style of directing. Well done.
July 8, 20222 yr Unusual song, definitely not what I'd have expected, but I'm liking it and can see me replaying it. Agree with the Vampire Weekend vibes.
July 9, 20222 yr I'm gonna have to listen to this a lot more before it really sticks with me but I think I'm liking it atm? I can definitely hear the Jack Antonoff influence as it could quite easily fit on the last Bleachers album (which had a few VW-style tracks so that's a fair comparison too ig). Going by their last few albums, the lead hasn't been the best thing on the album so I'm not worried right now about what's to come.
