Well it's not like Radio 1 have much of a choice, if they played swearing there'd be a hefty fine involved and bad media attention

Yeah i get, but I honestly think as a society we should be past that point.

I certainly understand skipping war for more than censoring some of the stuff they do.

A new peak for Luude :D
Boyfriend is a real belter (im running a bit behind but skipping shite so might catch up soon)

Biography

Following the success of 2016’s Moana, Lin-Manuel Miranda reunites with Disney as chief songwriter for Encanto, a celebration of family that also pays loving tribute to Colombia’s rich and diverse musical tradition. But there’s another name on the bill that’s just as exciting and noteworthy: Germaine Franco, the first female-identifying composer to score a Disney animated feature-length film. - Apple Music

Can't beat the original MAW, but so happy to see a new peak for Luude and Colin Hay.
I mean they could have skipped it anyway as a faller but reckon 100% they won't play it again on the Radio because of current circumstances...

Biography

Sam Fender crafts the kind of tenacious anthemic rock that punches straight at the gut. Born and raised in 1994 in the northeastern English town of North Shields, the singer/songwriter first picked up a guitar at age 10 and began playing gigs locally as a teen to help support him and his mother. But it wasn’t until he started writing music for himself—rather than what he thought others wanted to hear—that everything started to click. That’s when he wrote his 2017 debut single, “Play God”, a propulsive, politically charged slice of indie rock. It came from a place of deep desperation, “a time where I was like, ‘I need to prove myself. I need to do something that cuts through,’” he told Apple Music. The track earned him a slot on BBC’s Sound of 2018 shortlist, which led to a deal with Polydor Records and the release of his acclaimed 2019 debut, Hypersonic Missiles, an album that channels modern-day anxiety through heartfelt heartland rock. His 2021 follow-up, Seventeen Going Under, hit even harder, pumped full of soaring arrangements and bold statements that continue to prove Fender’s power as a mighty millennial voice for the working class. - Apple Music

don't get me wrong, i love SGU and sam fender but this is getting quite old and the top 10 needs some freshning up. most of the songs in it are old now and we need new ones up there

Do people really enjoy these 2 girls presenting talking more about clothes than about music

really think it's one of the worst presenting ever in the chart show

They must think that’s what young people want to hear….

Did it not move B-A in the playlist this week?

Conflict started properly after the playlisting was decided (according to others in this thread).
