In Disney's 60th animated classic, a family who live in a magical place called the Encanto, are thrust into danger and the only one that can save them is the one child without a magical gift. Have you seen the 60th masterpiece from Disney? What are your thoughts? |

Watched this today and it's a very charming one. The soundtrack is absolutely brilliant and it's cute, funny and has a nice storyline. Fits into their cannon nicely

This is such an awesome movie.
The first 20 or so minutes resonated with me and I think it will resonate with anyone who has felt out of place in their family/like they aren't as good as they are expected to be. Good moral to the story (as always) and the main character is just so darn likeable! The songs aren't up to Disney's high standard, but grow with a few listens. |

I watched this on Christmas Day through Disney+ as the other movies on the main channels were underwhelming (Mary Poppins Returns, srsly?), it was really nice, some great animation, voice acting, and story as ever. It occasionally went a bit slow, but I liked that it wasn't a grand quest like other films and it did seem to make an effort to portray Colombian culture in a sensitive way.

The animation is incredible, like Camilo’s shapeshifting is so fluid that I almost missed it.
It’s a lovely little story, which will definitely resonate for anyone that can feel like a ‘black sheep’ of their family, with a great cast, good songs with a couple that have classic potential and just beautiful to look at - it must be the brightest and most colourful looking Disney film for a long time. |

The soundtrack is currently at #2 on the compilation chart. I can see it climbing to #1 and becoming this years Frozen

Saw this today and it was more of a get into as it went along film. I didn't quite understand the story from the beginning so I didn't know what to expect from it and they were some over dramatic, bonkers scenes but overall not a bad film and the pay off with the girl receiving her miracle and unlocking the door was fab too along with the sad story before it. Quite relatable indeed from what's been mentioned.
The scene with the strong woman dancing away was weird af in parts lol but it did make me laugh so did it's job! This post has been edited by Rob S~: 10th January 2022, 02:58 AM |

I doubt it'll be anywhere near as big as Frozen, I think it's more likely to be on Moana's level of fame. (which is still pretty big tbf). This aged well My fave part of the Bruno song is after the "you telling the story or am I?" line where the guy apologies and then proceeds to continue interrupting every single line. (I've not even seen the movie but from listening to the same 3 songs every week on the chart show I pretty much know the storyline...) |
