You're referring to stuff that happened over 10 years ago? No one has forgotten the storylines but they're not exactly playing a pivotal role in how Ben is being portrayed now but they're in the background of course. If characters were constantly bringing up their past actions we wouldn't get anywhere with current storylines

I feel like Alfie often gets too much flack. Of course it doesn’t help that the writing has been awful for most of his appearances over the last ten years. But he was great in that episode.

I'll include spoiler stags just in case...

Prostate Cancer

storyline confirmed for Alfie...

Seems a bit soon to have another Cancer storyline so soon

I'm still surprised he survived the fall down the stairs tbh, and that he went full heel that day, only to return super chipper as always

I would quite like a break from those stories right now. This is the fourth one in four years.

An iconic day. What will tonight bring?

Bubbly in the fridge such an iconic moment, wish she had stayed in the show much much longer and likewise for me aunt babe should never have been axed.

Rather liking this week for Alfie as it allows Shane to get his teeth into something other than providing comic relief. It's a bit shit that we're being given yet another cancer storyline, especially so soon after Lola, but if the soap is trying to play true to life then it highlights that cancer doesn't wait around for anyone and there are very high statistics around of someone developing it.
Yes Alfie scenes are good so far and its good to see him more serious as i tire easy of his comic relief stuff as i usually dont find it funny. Im liking the build up to Cindys return, i think we have some scenes next week with her again away from the sqaure. I do like that we have seen her in advance of returning o the sqaure i think it works better for the storyline that way.

The World Athletics Championships is taking precedence next week so it's double episodes for EE on Tuesday and Thursday only

Also Ian, Cindy, Peter all back w/c 28th judging by the early spoilers

I cannot with Linda wanting custody of Janine’s child. This is the most ridiculous move in an already OTT ridiculous story that should be over by this point. What is wrong with the child going to live with his uncle, cousins and sister? Why should Janine not get the chance to raise her son once she finishes her OTT jail time?

Let Mick go. He’s been gone for almost 8 months and no one has missed him. Barely any characters talk about him and the fans don’t mention him either. For someone who was slammed in our faces constantly for a decade it really says something that he’s left no legacy whatsoever.

Sorry for the rant.

Ridiculous storyline. Zero evidence vs Janine, and Linda and Shirley borh tried to kill her that same night lol. That would IMMEDIATELY invalidate Linda's testimony, and she could use the marks and bruises vs Linda - against a pregnant woman - to counter the claim, or get Linda to drop any idea of going to the po po or even testifying. With no evidence, and oregnant, ain't no way Janine was going to jail.

I’m sure she actually got a 9, but still iconic.

She studied for that GCSE like a doctorate thesis, and she got a D!! Ridiculous storyline!

She didn’t actually get a D though. She got a 9 which was the highest grade.

It was still ridiculous to follow this as it was presented as an A List story and she was only sitting ONE GCSE whereas Bex was doing them all at the same time and got no air time (though they made up for that with her A Levels).

Lol I’m looking forward to it for sure but was Walford ever ‘home’ for Cindy? I have recently rewatched her entire stint and she was never happy!
I was thinking the same thing!!! She was miserable there, to the point if getting someone shot!! I'm sure France is nicer.
