It’s a shame they’ve had to bring Whitney down this road. For one thing, she’s had so much tragedy in her life, this kind of feels unnecessary. For another, it just feels like her having a baby is something we just need to get out of the way. I hope they don’t go down a sensationalist route of Whitney agreeing to raise Lilly’s child as her own.

Oh god. And then Ryan will come snd fight her for ir, takin months in a court case -_-

Im general i would say the last couple of months of the show is the best its been for years, its consistently putting out great episodes and most of the cast are getting screen time, Chris Clenshaw has really revived the show and im confident he will continue to make even further improvements in the months ahead.
Someone did a TikTok on Whitney's tragedy since arrival and oh my god she has just had the worst luck. I've watched it all but seeing it all grouped together was like surely she's had the most trauma out of any soap character ever? Give her some happiness PLEASE
Well, she survived being crushed by a bus, and survived so well that the next day she went travelling!

Lmao Whitney having a bus dropped on her and then being out of hospital and acting like nothing had happened the next episode.

The show was in a right state in that era.

I’m actually gutted it looks like Vi is leaving considering it’s only the last week or so it feels like they finally got the writing for her right. She’s been better than the wannabe meme generator she started as.
Wow Sharon must have lost like 30kg!! She looks much healthier now and she can wear whatever she likes, not just those loose shirt-dresses they always had her in!

Not Vi and Ash gone in the same week

Agree with T Boy, Vi had actually been really good these past couple of weeks (sigh). However, Ash's return has been pointless and I'm really struggling to understand why she even returned in the first place after her exit early last year seemed so permanent? I do love how she's able to just go to Canada at the drop of a hat (never change Soap Land ever x)

Also I was reminded the other day of Demi Miller coming into show almost 20 years ago and having a kid at age 13. I don't want to start another triggered rant, but Lily having a kid isn't the first time the soap has "gone there". I'm a little miffed at how casual everyone is being about Lily having a child though - I know there were a lot of raised eyebrows and "she can't do this" but now it's fallen to the wayside. I can see a lot brewing for Stacey here though and she's definitely going to have a tough year.

I'm glad Vi is going. Her acting is incredibly bad.

Ash is someone who I rarely took any notice of anyway, so her exit makes no difference to me either.

(Keep in mind here that I have only been watching for about six months, so no idea if either character had big storylines before then)

Vi kind of did when she came into it as they explored her past and giving up her son, which was revisited this week so it was a nice touch.

Ash has done nothing since the returned at all. Prior to that she was definitely just a background character for the Panesar family and I couldn't tell you any of the storylines she was even involved in that had her at the forefront  Crazy how she's been in it for 4 years with nothing to show for it really.

Ash interestingly never got a duff duff in over three years. I think even Vi managed to get one.
Before the flash forward episode the other week, have EastEnders ever done a flash forward episode before that?
EastEnders being pretty much run-of-the-mill this week... and yet it's still hugely watchable and the programme I look forward to the most and wouldn't miss an episode of.
