Seems a little random but I guess they are really trying to

build up the Brannings. Cba with the likelihood of a Max return, unless it involves Cindy making his life a complete misery for killing one of her children.

This is a welcome and overdue return for a character almost forgotten. Hopefully they treat Jack like shit.

Ugh looking less likely Jack will die.

Hopefully they treat this character better than they did Donna.

Another solid week of episodes. The build up to the fire tonight was really well played out. I really feel for Bobby, he was just trying to help but made things so much worse he will probably get some element of blame for this which will inevitably eat Rocky up. Kathy is going to blow her lid when she finds out and it's now making me think Rocky is our Christmas casualty. Great performance from Ross Boatman this week too as Harvey.

Well! Considering the uproar of the Sharon and Keanu affair at the time who could've thought we'd get here and Keanu isn't actually Albie's dad  Are we retconning the DNA test Sharon did then EastEnders, is that what we're doing? I guess they can't be 100% accurate

Like we really need to revisit a Sharon and Phil relationship ugh. I can't wait for Kat to find out.

I called Phil being the real dad back when Sharon was pregnant, but it’s been so long since then that I assumed it’d never be the case. From what I remember, Sharon had to source the DNA samples herself and given that Keanu and Phil were both living with her at that point, she could have easily made a mistake. Also, if I recall correctly, Sharon and Keanu only slept together once in the conception window-their main affair was almost a year earlier. We were also lead to believe that she and Phil were fairly active together so it doesn’t seem completely unrealistic.

I'm glad they addressed the DNA test tonight and Sharon essentially being put in her place by that doctor :kink:

It's a much better portrayal to show Sharon attempting to tell Phil and him acting out before she could even tell him. It just shows how much stronger the writing is now rather than weeks of secrecy and "will she, won't she?" I'm expecting a Christmas Day reveal for it now

I was thinking maybe we've got some big reveal/appearance tonight to account for the lack of iPlayer upload but apparently it's just late and will still be up today

Sorry but these Dean/Linda scenes are vile. We really don't need scenes of a rapist taunting the victim do we? Surely they could have come up with something more appropriate for Linda's part of the Six storyline.

Loved seeing Sam back  The fact she's never out of trouble does crack me up

Sam being casually thrown out the back of a van, never change EE!

Agree with Jase about Dean/Linda. Complete and utter yawn fest really and it's rehashing old ground already covered. I appreciate storylines have a long-running impact as we've seen with this one but it's all a little too jarring.

Brilliant performance from Balvinder Sopal as Suki in tonight's ep

Confirmed that

Aunt Sal will be killed off screen but her funeral will air in scenes to play out in the New Year. Not something I ever expected them to do really but it's a nice tribute to Anna Karen. Alan Ford has also been cast in a role linked to this.

Another good episode outside of Dean. The Dean stuff is absolutely the worst thing under Clenshaw. Genuinely disgusting/bordering on turn off the TV level viewing. An absolute slap in the face to real victims of rape who watch.

My GOD. :manson:

Linda was so on the sidelines after the extended family moved in (a bit like what happened to Shirley a decade ago) and it’s a real shame that without Mick, she only gets material in this way.
I can’t see a way that bringing Dean back isn’t just a disservice to Linda. If he is the body at Christmas, Linda is just a plot device really and doesn’t fully feel like part of the Six with her own storyline. Like why bring back Dean just for him to be the body if it aaa going to be at the detriment of the character and an insult to Kellie who is probably the best actress this show has alongside Lacey Turner, when there are the likes of Nish, Ravi and Keanu who were in the show anyway and had reasons to be the body. Idk, I guess it’s so that all of the Six have a potential victim that relates to them or has done them wrong but it just feels like this is a detriment to Linda rather than building her up or using her to her full potential.
Agree, hate this storyline. 'It's just words' is such a toxic message to show on screen.
The Linda Dean storyline been revisited im on the fence about as i dont really like the way its been written and it does a diservice to Linda and the original storyline in many ways, Kellie is just a fantastic actress and part of me would like to see Linda fall of the wagon for a short period as i think she plays drunk brilliantly plus i wouldn't mind a few drunk scenes where she insults a few people either that or i think Linda in a new relationship that leads to an abusive relationship could bring Kellie to the front of the show, i think Kelly could deliver standout performances over along period if given a storyline like that which is well written.

Was taken aback at the mention of Karen being 45. Genuinely thought she was more than just 10 years older than me.

Edit: Lorraine Stanley is 12 years older than me. I guess seeing her with so many grown up children on the show makes her seem older.
