I don't find the Linda/Dean stuff offensive as such (although I can totally see how people view it as such and certainly Elaine's involvement has been questionable to say the least) but more that it feels completely pointless. It's like Dean has been brought back solely to give Linda a counterpart for the potential Christmas corpse - there is no other story that holds up on its own, regardless of who the body is. It doesn't help that the interesting parts of the story are happening off-screen i.e. Jade's illness and Shabnam/Shirley coping with that, particularly considering both have lost a child, one of which was to the same illness. Also, where is Stacey's involvement? Denise's?

The Eve/Suki story has been going round in circles for so long, I'm so tired of it and I'm not convinced they will even work as a couple; both characters excel away from each other for me. I'm glad it's finally exposed this week and at least we're treated to a double helping of Simon Ashdown-penned episodes tomorrow and Thursday!

The recent photos of Keanu and Lauren talking to each other outside a church - I'm convinced Keanu is just a stand-in for Max and he'll be returning unannounced in the New Year.

"You know in nature, sometimes the wildebeest gets pecked to death by the vultures and you think... how low could a species go? And then there's the insects, sucking the blood out of the vultures.."

The writing is chef's kiss.

He may have been hit and miss as an executive producer but Bryan Kirkwood is a cracking writer!

Tonight’s episode… Wow, incredible all round!
Imagine how epic the Christmas episodes are gonna be if we're already reaching such high quality :cheeseblock:

Meh, I thought Wednesday and tonight’s episodes were rather poor. Pretty weak acting which showed up a very flawed and formulaic script from a usually strong Simon Ashdown. Annoying that this storyline STILL has further to go now that Eve will probably be gone from screen until Christmas.

Jade

is going to be returning but I still don’t hold out much hope for a

Shabnam

return unfortunately.

I'm Natalie Cassidy. I'm just doin this now! Just sortin out these pens.

Always makrd mr laigh when nurse Sonia had to scrram, which side?!, when deliverin Kim's baby!! Sonia, you a nurse!!

We're not going there with

Jack and Stacey

are we? ugh.

Also very surprised to see the

Albie kidnap reveal so quick. Was expecting Phil to find out Christmas Day so wondering if that's when Sharon finds out, then again I'd be surprised if Phil doesn't tell her. Looks like Sharon's hen party is next week so she doesn't know before then at least

.

Slight schedule shake up this week due to the England v Scotland match tomorrow, no ep again until Wednesday but we do get a Friday outing instead.

Phil tells Sharon this week so seems she doesn't believe Phil or is plotting against Keanu.

Oh good lord, the plotting against Ian REALLY came across well on screen :kink:
