I feel like Elaine is better off as her own character and George is better off with Cindy, Ian and Cindy have absolutely 0 chemistry and have just been thrown together because of their history. It’s an odd situation of them all being good characters of their own accord, but none of them really being used to their full potential other than George who has had his own family story.
Obsessed with Ar Maya and her stunning pink beret
Ian and Cindy would just work better as friends and parents as their is zero chemistry romantically, im not sure George is suited to Cindy either, Cindy needs to be with a complete rogue which is where id like them them to take her character, and i think Junior may fit that bill perfectly, Ian and Jane worked very well together as a couple and probably the best coupling Ian had in the show.

I love that Cindy is still consistent with her 90s self. Bleating about caring for her family with a smacked bum face whilst desperately trying to clamber into the bed of another man. Never change, Cindy!

I did like how George seems to have knocked her back for Elaine. I do think he genuinely loves Elaine unlike Ian and Cindy.

Priya munching on that apple was iconic. Tbh everything she does is.

I agree about Cindy, very consistent with the 90s heyday character that made her iconic but equally they have managed some character development aswell which combined is what is making her return an ongoing success.

Junior really is Max Branning II

Maya is such a weirdo I want to see more of her!! I'm obsessed with Priya just strutting about the place for no real reason, maybe she doesn't need a storyline after all :') idk why she kills me just by doing nothing, I need more of her as well

Apparently

Stevie's secret family (son and two grandsons) are coming into it which will be interesting to see some more Mitchell's come into the mix. I feel like Priya might get a new love interest there but who knows

I'm glad Bianca came back now just so she can bully Rhys

Those fishing scenes were horrendous

I actually thought the opposite. Well, for Howie and Denzel I did anyway as their screnes were pretty solid. You can see that Denzel is pretty pissed off that his dad just left him for months, coupled with the steroids/'supplements' he's taking that are clearly having an effect on him.

Have I missed something, what is Will supposed to be annoyed about?

Karen getting another episode *.*. Considering she got Julia's theme 6 months ago, she's done well to have 2 further returns with impakt (though it's a bit of a joke and probably would've made more sense to keep her around for the whole shabang and then leave now instead). I do wonder if she'll return again when the inevitable happens...

Not enough Denise in this episode. Fancy appearing for the first 3 minutes only (and interacting with Phil for what seems like the first time since she moved in with him?).

Callum REALLY needs something to do now Ben has gone, but of course they're going to put The Six onto Phil's radar instead of the actual detective despite his suspicions pointing Phil in that direction :P (we'll ignore Jack's knowledge of what happened).

Nice little touches here and there with the mention of the football and I do like that considering both Mother's Day and Father's Day are on a Sunday that they've made an effort on both occasions this year to play out a weekend episode which is very much a rarity.

Going by spoilers...

He's being blackmailed. Stevie catches him stealing money in tomorrows ep

Great seeinig Karen back again and i still think the axing was wrong, they had plenty of storylining opportunities for her around Keanus death alone and not to mention all her other kids, there were others who should have went before her.

Great way to end the week with Pastor Clayton being arrested *.*. I know it's been said before but Angela Wynter deserves an award for this storyline, powerful acting from her.
Angela Wynter is incredible. Her scene with Bernie in Wednesday's episode was lovely (please can we use Bernie more seriously going forward? She's such a capable actress when she's given something of note) and I choked up at seeing that single solitary tear fall down her face at the end of the scene :cheeseblock:
