JADE revealed after the album she will release 3 collabs (unrelated to this album). A collab with a US artist, a UK artist and a K-pop artist.

I will forever be baffled that she had a hyped, well-received Brit Awards performance — and won — with no album to buy, preorder, or even exist immediately afterwards.

I’m slightly worried there’s no teasing!! If it was coming this week wouldn’t we be getting some heavy teasing in the few days before?

Can someone really explain to me how the industry works nowadays? I just don’t get it from a financial perspective—how can you spend two or three years recording songs with the girls, with all the costs that entails, and then not release the album? Even if putting it out requires more investment, wouldn’t they at least recover part of the money through fan purchases from different formats? I just can’t wrap my head around the idea that after all that investment, the album never comes out.

I’m not an expert but I think an album is expensive to make and the profits minimal for physical sales. You have the photo shoots for the covers / inserts, production costs, advertising costs (they’d need some form of advertising) distribution costs to retailers, then producers / songwriters would need to be paid, mastering the album, the whole process of signing off an album with the label would take time. It would probably end up being a loss if poor sales.

Big label artists especially pop girl’s have a whole team behind them for make up, styling, booking shoots / locations for an album so I’d imagine even that’s costly.

So generally, the label will recover costs in booking shows / festivals / events to recoup the funds of producing songs and not spending even more for a potential huge loss and bad chart position which damages the artists credibility more and makes the label look bad.

That’s just my take, I know in interviews artists have talked about albums being really expensive to release so I’m guessing there’s even more to it than I’ve mentioned.

Why is Jade ignoring every single album comment on her socials 😩

It feels way too quiet for her to just suddenly announce the album pre order…

She mentioned on Discord yesterday that she had already approved the booklet imagery and the artwork images and was aporoving the artwork text design during lunch and doing a whole bunch of mixes/masterings approvals and album approvals throughout the day. She’s not acting as if it’s inexistent.

It’s really dragging though. In the Spanish interview last week she said it would be announced either this week (meaning last week) or next (This week) if she’s still at that stage I’m guessing it’s not happening this week.

In fairness I’d rather she was totally happy but it just seems the longer it goes on the less hype there is.

The hype will definitely be back when she says she has an announcement though. It's going to be fine. If the release date is June 13th (as has been rumoured) then I think it's too early for pre-orders! Middle-end of April will be fine for an announcement with that release date.

What do you mean by too early for pre-orders?

Surely the longer the lead-in the better? I can't see any point at all in having the album finalised (artwork, tracklisting, variants, production dates, distribution etc) and not having it avaliable for people to place an order... There's no way you're gonna lose sales with a longer pre-order but if someone hears, let's say 'FUFN', on the radio and wants to order the album but can't and then forgets to order it after then, that's a potentially sale lost forever!

Good move!

She needs to continue being on the spotlight with new music. She shouldn’t disappear for a long time and these collabs may be fantastic for her!

I’m told the Angel of My Dreams singer is back in the studio working on ideas.

Keen to make 2025 her year, Jade is also thinking of ideas for her first solo tour, which is due to take place this autumn.

Bizarre understands that the trek will see her play medium-size venues, including the 3,600 capacity Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith, West London.

A source said: “Jade is laser-focused on making this year a big one for her.

“She’s been keen not to rush the first album, as she was finding her sound and footing as a solo artist. But now she’s feeling really confident and has big plans.

“Her team are working on putting together a UK tour for the autumn, which she hopes will be big and bold.

“Her Brit Awards performance was super-dramatic and went down a storm, so she’s hoping the tour will be in the same vein.

“As for album two, she’s only just got back into the studio and is still working out the direction.”

Sounds like a smart move! One single worked, so now she just has to release the album as a formality. Put it out, go on tour, and then drop a new album with the sound she already knows people like. All artists who go solo usually start off too big—and that’s when they flop. If she really has the label’s support, this is the best way to build a solid solo career: start small and grow with each release.

Silent Disco COMING???

HAS TO BE!

Not sure how I feel about the title but I’m excited it looks like it’s being announced next week.

Tbh I love the title Silent Disco. I can’t think of another album named it for starters. I was getting used to That’s Showbiz Baby as a title though and I thought the ending of the BRITs performance more or less confirmed it as the title lol.
