I think Aprodite should have been the lead single, followed by All the Lovers, then Cupid Boy, Get Outta My Way, with the final single being "Can't Beat the Feeling".

Mighty River should've made the album.

No way, all the lovers was the perfect lead single but I would agree aphrodite should have been a single. Maybe 2nd.

Get rid of 'I Feel For You', 'Someday' and 'After Dark' and replace with 'City Games', 'Cruise Control' and 'Slo Motion', then you have a pretty good album. 'On the Up' is a bop too but I don't know if it goes with anything else on the album.

Actually like "After Dark", it has a nice chilled out vibe to it & closes the album rather nicely. Although I wouldn't class it as one of my faves from the album, middle of the pack probably. However I do agree with you about the other 2 tracks, 'Someday' is very forgettable & "I Feel For You" doesn't have a flow to it, a bit too out there for my taste. Yet replacing those 2 with the 3 track you've mentioned (I'd keep 'AD') would have made for a better album.

The tracklist would look like this:

1. Slow

2. Still Standing

3. Secret (Take You Home)

4. Promises

5. Sweet Music

6. Red Blooded Woman

7. Chocolate

8. Obsession

9. City Games*

10. Cruise Control*

11. Loving Days

12. Slo-Motion*

This is just off the top of my head for now, not quite sure about the order they're in, having 'Slow' open the album & 'Slo-Motion' close it, is interesting to me, dunno why.

Here are the results for Kylie's 12th studio album Kiss Me Once. Think we can all agree that this wasn't Kylie's finest body of work, but thankfully the best 3 tracks made it through to the next round. Les Sex had the highest score with 88 points & not far behind was Sleeping With The Enemy with 83 points & then in 3rd place & thanks to some last minute high scores is the title track with 77 points, making this the 5th title track to make the top 3. "Sexy Love" almost made the top 3 until the bottom ranking from the last voter saw it settle for 4th place. Opinions were pretty split on this album as every track (even the top 3) gained a few low placements throughout the voting process. There are some surprises here with "If Only", thought that would have done better as its often seen as a highlight, but only ranked in 6th place with several low-tier placements & didn't gain any top placements at all.

Here's how the songs performed in the ranking:

1. Les Sex - 88
2. Sleeping With The Enemy - 83
3. Kiss Me Once - 77

4. Sexy Love - 69
5. Million Miles - 68
6. If Only - 62
7. Fine - 58
8. Feels So Good - 52
9. Sexercise - 43
10. Mr President - 41
11. Beautiful - 18

Well done to the 3 songs that made it through. Do you agree with the order they appeared in the ranking round?

Really happy with the les sex result as this and into the blue are the only songs I go to from the album. Thankfully the follow up albums made up for the disappointment of kiss me once for me.

"Aphrodite" was a fantastic album that had so many potential singles on there, but releasing "Better Than Today" was a disasterous choice, especially given the high profile promo/performances it got, a bit of a waste in the end wasn't it. They should have stuck to their guns & continued the original plan of "All The Lovers", "Get Outta My Way", "Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love)", "Cupid Boy" & "Can't Beat The Feeling".

This would have made for an epic era. "PYHU" as single #3 (like planned), firstly this had better music video potential than 'BTT' & the promo slots such as - X-Factor, Children In Need & Royal Variety, this could have easily gone top 20, around the lower end =16-#19 region. Plus this may have helped boost even more interest in the album.

Then in early 2011 around February/March release "Cupid Boy", Kylie's Taio Cruz collaboration 'Higher' was also in heavy rotation around this time & definitely think 'CB' would also gain some attention, but would obviously get overshadowed by the other song & wouldn't have the same promo as the previous singles given that its single #4, which wouldn't be a bad thing as this era had 3 top 20 hits under its belt by this point & predict that this would chart within' the top 40, a #32-#35 peak.

Then to cap things off in the summer have "Can't Beat The Feeling" as the final single with a digital bundle type of release with exclusive remixe bundles, maybe this could have the Pete Hammond mix treatment for its release or keep that for the 'PYHU' release, it could work either way. Given that this would be single #5, then promo would be strictly limited & therefore make a minor impact on the charts, a low top 75 peak or at the very least settle for a top 100 peak.

In my opinion all of this could have made for a far more exciting era with fantastic single choices that okay apart from the lead single wouldn't become igh charting smash hits as this was now the 2010's & the days of Kylie scoring multiple top 10 hits from an album were sadly behind her. But you gotta admit this era desevered better than what we got & personally I would have loved this run of singles.

I know I've stated this before, but what do you think of my opinions?

Have to say I agree, even though I really like better than today it didnt work as a single and even though I'm not a huge fan get outta my way not going top 10 was a surprise so it's hard to say how other singles would have done as it was the time when kylie started her decline on the singles chart. I do think they kinda gave up on the album to quickly which is a shame as started so strongly plus all the lovers was such a fantastic way to start everything off as it's one of kylies finest moments.

I repeatedly said that the gap between All the Lovers and Get Outta My Way was too long. Get Outta My Way should have been released six weeks after ATL was released, instead they left it until the end of September - three months after ATL release.

We're close to end of these results as next up we have the results for Kylie's 13th studio album Golden. The country/pop sound was a risky move for Kylie, but untimately proved to a career saving move. Lost Without You managed the highest score with 82 points & in the runner-up spot is Raining Glitter with 79 points. For the 3rd and final spot it was a close battle, but Shelby '68 won out against "Live A Little" in the end with 73 points, while the latter had to settle for 66 points due to a couple of low rankings.

Here's how the songs performed in the ranking:

1. Lost Without You - 82
2. Raining Glitter - 79
3. Shelby '68 - 73

4. Live A Little - 66
5. Every Little Part of Me - 59
6. Radio On - 56
7. One Last Kiss - 48
8. Rollin' - 36
9. Love - 32
10. Low Blow - 19

'Disco' will be announced very soon, any predictions as to what will make it through?

Stay tuned to find out...

I repeatedly said that the gap between All the Lovers and Get Outta My Way was too long. Get Outta My Way should have been released six weeks after ATL was released, instead they left it until the end of September - three months after ATL release.

3 months was a standard gap between singles back then.

I don't honestly believe that was the reason for how it performed the way it did, I think it's because it coincided roughly with the time CD singles became less readily available in shops, and it's fair to say she relied heavily on those to get a fair chunk of her top 10s in the 2000s - especially for singles released after the album.

I think it's fair to say the likes of Please Stay, Chocolate, Giving You Up and In My Arms wouldn't have been top 10 hits without their devoted fanbase purchases of the physical single.

3 months was a standard gap between singles back then.

Honestly, Parlophone should've thought outside the box! There was a lot of interest for ATL back then and releasing Get Outta My Way earlier might have saved the single (and yes, increasing the availiability to buy the single would certainly help too).

Here are the results for Kylie's 14th & most recent studio album Disco. There were quite a few split opinons when it came to the rankings, which just goes to show how strong the quality of this album is. Miss A Thing came out on top with a whopping 117 points with it being ranked in the top 2 by all bar 2 in the voting stages. Supernova wasn't far behind with 112 points & again performed consitantly strong throughout. However the 2nd & 3rd placed songs did change a few times with the top 5 changing multiple times, in the end the 3rd spot went to Dance Floor Darling which scored 111 points. Both "Last Chance" & "Celebrate You" also performed strongly throughout with the latter even getting a top placement, but this was a tough battle & in the end I think we can all agree that the best 3 made it through.

Here's how the songs performed in the ranking:

1. Miss A Thing - 117
2. Supernova - 112
3. Dance Floor Darling - 111

4. Last Chance - 104
5. Celebrate You - 99
6. I Love It - 94
7. Where Does The DJ Go - 86
8. Till You Love Somebody - 67
9. Hey Lonely - 59
10. Unstoppable - 45
11. Spotlight - 43
12. Monday Blues - 41
13. Fine Wine - 36
14. Can't Stop Writing Songs About You - 36

Disappointed but not shocked celebrate you missed out byt least it done fairly well. Poor fine wine bombed and getting the same votes as the very disappointing cant stop writing songs about you.

'Les Sex' was a favourite at the time of release but it's slipped down my album rank a lot since then. Glad 'Kiss Me Once' and 'Sleeping with the Enemy' went through; expected more for 'If Only' which I thought was considered a favourite by most. 'Sexy Love' is disgustingly high, the worst on 'Kiss Me Once' for me. Totally vapid and dire lyrics.

Expected Top 3 for 'Golden' and nearly the same as me ('Shelby' was 4th). 'Every Little Part of Me' is a decent song but the shrill vocals on the chorus bring it down a lot.

'Miss a Thing' and 'Supernova' are two of my favourite Kylie album tracks of all-time now, very pleased they went through. Would have chosen 'Last Chance' or 'Celebrate You' for third place over 'Dance Floor Darling' but I know it's a big fan fave.

1. Slow

2. Still Standing

3. Secret (Take You Home)

4. Promises

5. Sweet Music

6. Red Blooded Woman

7. Chocolate

8. Obsession

9. City Games*

10. Cruise Control*

11. Loving Days

12. Slo-Motion*

This is just off the top of my head for now, not quite sure about the order they're in, having 'Slow' open the album & 'Slo-Motion' close it, is interesting to me, dunno why.

I think 'After Dark' is okay but very forgettable and I think ends the album on a whimper. That tracking list just from first look seems much stronger and I agree with you that having the two 'Slow' tracks bookend the album just works.

I think they could have had a tighter campaign for it though. First performing on Alan Carr in mid-July, video release at the start of September and physical release at the end of September feels very strung out. The promo for 'Better Than Today' felt much busier but suffered from a single choice no-one asked for. I'd have gone with 'Aphrodite' or 'Can't Beat the Feeling'.

Some interesting choices. I am very surprised Les sex made no1 for kiss me once. Awful song but no2 and no3 are great tracks from that album.
Dance floor darling top 3 is a good choice but I really don’t get the love for miss a thing. I prefer last chance to supernova.
