March 15, 20223 yr Author 'Let's Get To It' is also my least fave PWL album, but it does have a few good moments & the b-sides were fantastic, especially 'Closer' which deserved better in the voting process. Probably due to the fact that the bonus tracks aren't as well known as the album tracks.
March 15, 20223 yr Author Here are the results for Kylie's 5th studio album Kylie Minogue or as its affectionately dubbed by the fans KM'94. Intead of a top 3 we have a top 4 as there was a tie for the 3rd spot. Dangerous Game scored the highest amount with 89 points, swiftly followed by Time Will Pass You By which wasn't far behind with 85 points. Then finally in the 3rd spot like I already said there it was a tie between If I Was Your Lover & Surrender which both scored 82 points & therefore both are through to the final rate. "If You Don't Love Me" was an early contender for a top 3 spot, until the scores slowed down considerably towards the end. "Automatic Love" was also another strong contender & even gained a couple of top placements, but fell short in the end by 6 points. Of surprising note "Falling" proved to be the least popular song here with the most bottom placements & didn't score above 7th place. Here's how the songs performed in the ranking: 1. Dangerous Game - 89 2. Time Will Pass You By - 85 3. If I Was Your Lover - 82 3. Surrender - 82 5. Automatic Love - 76 6. If You Don't Love Me - 65 7. Nothing Can Stop Us - 59 8. Love Is Waiting - 51 9. Where Has The Love Gone - 48 10. Falling - 21 Well done to the 4 songs that made it through. Do you agree with the order they appeared in the ranking round? March 15, 20223 yr My order would be this: Rhythm of Love Let's Get to It Kylie Enjoy Yourself I know Let's Get to It suffers criticism of exploring too many genres and I agree it could be more streamlined, but I do like pretty much everything on the album as songs individually. I like how it's quite beat and groove driven which gives it a subtle catchiness opposed to the big, instant productions on earlier albums.
March 15, 20223 yr Again with KM94, my Top 3 songs went through. This was another album where I liked everything - the bottom 2 here matches mine but I think they're solid. The time length and repetitiveness does act as a slight weakness when comparing to the other songs although it's not so much a problem when listening to the album as a whole. The live version of 'If You Don't Love Me' that Kylie did in 1994 is my go to version; the studio version is good but just doesn't feel as impressive.

Let's get to it I think is liked more by fans now than it once was. Enjoy yourself for me I feel is often overlooked but I love the album,. All 4 albums have songs/b sides that I still listen to outside the singles alot which wouldnt be the case with KM94, body language and kiss me once.

I like how it's quite beat and groove driven which gives it a subtle catchiness opposed to the big, instant productions on earlier albums. This is my ranking of Kylie's PWL albums: Rhythm of Love Enjoy Yourself Kylie Let's Get To It 'ROL' of course not only had that perfect run of amazing singles, but had some brilliant album tracks, my personal faves are 'Things Can Only Get Better', 'Always Find The Time' & 'The World Still Turns'. If there's one album that defines Kylie's career more than any other, then its this one with more dynamic & refined production & showed Kylie start to take control of her career path & the evolution of Kylie herself as an artist began here & everything that came after was because of this. 'EY' - This was a fantastic 2nd album that in many ways ecilpses her debut with more richer pop/dance sounds & some stunning ballads where Kylie's vocals became much stronger, which is amazing considering that this only came a year after its predecessor. There are many standout moments such as the 1-2-3 punch of the first three singles & of course classic album tracks such as 'Enjoy Yourself' & 'I'm Over Dreaming (Over You)" 'Kylie' - A cracking debut effort that I absolutely loved when I was younger & is what got me into the magnificent Kylie Minouge in the first place. I know this doesn't quite hold up when compared to Kylie's later works, thanks to its dated PWL production, but whether you like it or not this was the template for an astounding career in pop, thanks to it's incredible success. The obvious standouts are the first 6 tracks that just happens to be all the singles, making this rather front loaded. But as debut's go, you could do far worse. 'Let's Get To It' - Kylie's leaving PWL after this was a smart move as this pales in comparssion to 'ROL', this album was recorded in just 3 sessions during June/July 1991, making it very rushed & it shows, especially with the lacklustre lead single "Word Is Out" & a couple of other dated & filler album tracks. The 3 b-sides should have been included on the album as they were by far some of the strongest moments from this era. But the attempts at making it hip and modern by the PWL production team & showed a complete lack of an overall vision for this project & that's why it's not very highly regarded by fans & seems pretty much forgotten. However there are some great standouts to be had such as "Finer Feelings", "If You Were With Me Now" & "Too Much of A Good Thing". But overall it feels like its missing that special something. March 16, 20223 yr Author Here are the results for Kylie's 6th studio album Impossible Princess. Yet again we have 4 songs making it through to the final rate as there was a tie-way for the third spot.Limbo & Dreams were the clear favourites here scoring 108 & 103 points respectively and were the most consitant highest scorers throughout the scoring process. Then at the joint 3rd spot are Too Far & Drunk, both scoring 95 points each. It was a tight-knit race for that final spot as not far behind it was "I Don't Need Anyone" with 92 points & was in that spot for a short time, until it fell at the last minute, but of interesting note it was 26 points ahead of the track below it & was the only other track that even came close to qualifying to the next round. Here's how the songs performed in the ranking: 1. Limbo - 108 2. Dreams - 103 3. Too Far - 95 3. Drunk - 95 5. I Don't Need Anyone - 92 6. Jump - 66 7. Say Hey - 56 8. Tears - 54 9. Through The Years - 52 10. This Girl - 36 11. Love Takes Over Me - 35 Well done to the 4 songs that made it through. Do you agree with the order they appeared in the ranking round?
March 16, 20223 yr Yet again my Top 3 went through and I think the results were pretty much as expected. I would have loved Limbo to have been a single although I appreciate why they went for the most commercial singles.
March 16, 20223 yr 'Limbo' and 'Too Far' making it is a great result! I'd have liked to see the wonderful 'Jump' also make it but I'm aware that rarely ranks as high for anyone else.

Jump just missed out on the Top 3 for me - I remember watching the 2007 White Diamond documentary and its use in that really made the song click with me.

For a long time rhythm of love was my fave and i still love that album but i think i just have that huge soft spot for enjoy yourself that makes it my fave pwl album but overall its split hairs between both albums, I also love her debut aswell, i do like lets get to it but on the same level at all. As for the impossible princess result i was hoping i dont need anyone would make it, initially i thought it had no chance and then for a while it was doing great.
March 16, 20223 yr Author Here are the results for Kylie's 7th studio album Light Years. The top 3 won by a considerable mile with the title track scoring a whopping 130 points, as well as gaining by far the most top rankings by 5 voters. Disco Down wasn't far behind in the runner-up soot with 126 points. Then finally Butterfly settles into 3rd place with 121 points. Of note "Under The Influence of Love" was the only other song to score over a 100 points, while "Bittersweet Goobdye" seemed like an early contender for a top 3 spot with several high placements at the beginning & even managed 3 top placements the same amount as 'DD' & more than "Butterfly", but was let down by multiple bottom rankings which saw it settle for 6th place in the end. Personally I'm very happy with the top 3 as their by far the shining moments on this fabulous album. Here's how the songs performed in the ranking: 1. Light Years - 130 2. Disco Down - 126 3. Butterfly - 121 4. Under The Influence of Love - 106 5. So Now Goodbye - 94 6. Bittersweet Goodbye - 92 7. I'm So High - 71 8. Loveboat - 68 9. Password - 43 10. Koocachoo - 40 11. Physical - 33 Well done to the 3 songs that made it through. Do you agree with the order they appeared in the ranking round?
March 16, 20223 yr Author Seeing as we're at the half-way point, here's a little reminder of what's made it through so far: Made In Heaven I'll Still Be Loving You Love At First Sight Enjoy Yourself I'm Over Dreaming (Over You) Nothing To Lose Things Can Only Get Better Always Find The Time Secrets Too Much of a Good Thing Right Here Right Now I Guess I Like It Like That Dangerous Game Time Will Pass You By If I Was Your Lover Surrender Limbo Dreams Too Far Drunk Light Years Disco Down Butterfly 23 Songs are through to the next round so far, are you happy with these choices so far?
March 16, 20223 yr Great Top 3 for 'Light Years'. I did place 'I'm So High' Top 3 but I didn't expect it to get through. Surprised 'Bittersweet Goodbye' placed 6th, thought it would be lower. 'Light Years' could quite possibly be my favourite Kylie album track.
March 16, 20223 yr Oops, just realising I only voted in the KM and Impossible Princess rounds :( glad If I Was Your Lover and Surrender got through, I just wish Automatic Love was there with them! Too Far would have to be my IP fave so I'm pleased that made it too.
March 16, 20223 yr Can't argue with that top 3! I'm glad 'Under The Influence' did well, that's because such a huge favourite for me over the last couple of years or so. It was my go-to song when I felt anguish and sadness during the lockdown.
March 16, 20223 yr Author How are you guys liking this countodwn so far, I can see by the comments that most people are pleased with what's gone through. Once this gets to another page I will post the 'Fever' results :D
