Do they butcher the songs to make them fit on these year book editions?

Sorry if that's a stupid question.

Don’t think so. They squeeze on as many songs as they can on one disc

My Heart Goes Bang. I think it’s the second time we’ve seen it on a compilation as it’s also set to appear on one of the budget compilations titled The #1 80s Synth Pop Album. I’m not counting its appearance on NOW 12" 80s Extended as it’s an extended version. Shame it never appeared on Out Now 2, Hits 3 or NOW 6

"Conga" should be credited to just Miami Sound Machine though as the group became Gloria Estefan and Miami Sound Machine from the Anything For You album.
I’ve noticed that they’re always putting Wham! on track 1 whenever they appear on a compilation

My local Asda Living have NOW Yearbook Extra 1985 in stock. I didn’t think it was out until Friday. I wonder if it will debut low on Friday’s compilation chart before having a massive climb the week after?

I wish mine did, but they only stock the top 24 randomly and it wasn't in there yet.

They need to stop rinsing the yearbooks between 1980 and 1984. I hope the next yearbook they release is 1986 but if they release 1978 first, I hope they do it 1978, 1986, 1977, 1987, 1976 and 1988 and so forth in that order
Think the barrel is empty here now. They should really just move on with the Yearbook series now.
As they normally announce them four weeks prior to release, by my reckoning, I reckon it will be released on 3rd February. With the yearbooks, they should’ve done it as a NOW 100 Hits instead of yearbook and extra yearbook. They should stop milking 1980-1984 and move onto 1986 or more 90s and 00s spin-offs oh and genres we’ve never had such as Trance

It’s basically just them admitting now that they can’t afford to purchase the licenses for music beyond the 80’s because it would simply cost too much to make 90’s yearbooks and extras for all the artists we expect and demand to feature for this era are just not financially viable for a compilation that isn’t going to sell anywhere near what the main series sells with modern hits. So this is all they’ve got to go on to make any sort of profit until the time comes in the near future when the compilation series comes to its expected demise. I’m not surprised, just disappointed in them having no real control over what artists they can select from with 80’s hits from the likes of David Bowie, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Bob Marley and others inaccessible.
I guessed correct that it’s being released on 3rd February. I can’t wait for them to announce NOW Yearbook 1986. I reckon Queen will be track 1 on there with Wham! being track 1 on NOW Yearbook Extra 1986 or vice versa. I don’t see why they’re doing a Queen with Wham! and always putting them on track 1. Still no Rod Stewart. They can be bothered to plaster Maggie May all over their 70s compilations but they can’t be bothered to include him on any of their 80s compilations

It’s rumoured amongst some from a Facebook group I follow that Now are lining up a release of Now Dance 80’s or it could be year specific. Again, it’s just more proof if it’s true that they just aren’t prepared to leave this decade alone.
NOW seriously need to let go of the 80s. If they’re doing another dance compilation, they could do with Trance or 00s Dance. There’s a lot of 00s songs which are forgotten as that’s the most slept on decade when it comes to CDs. You have more chance of finding a needle in a haystack than you do of finding a 00s compilation in shops. And what’s the point of re-releasing old spin-offs? If they wanna re-release an old spin-off, they could re-release NOW The Summer Album from 1986 or NOW Smash Hits from 1987. Also, they could also release NOW 114 on vinyl at the end of March as well as CD and download

Here’s the track list

Typo on the Roxette song it should be Crash! Boom! Bang!

A few of those tracks seem out of place on a love songs compilation.
