Desert Rose is a good track. It didn't do much in the singles charts in the UK or Ireland so not the most well known track here, but I recall it did give the album a pretty decent boost.

 

I can see how sound-wise it works as a good bridge between the guitars and the chillout of Pure Shores.

 

The more baffling sequencing is The Corrs after Cartoon Heroes, or She Bangs cutting off the trance segment.

 

The vinyl choices are odd. If you needed to cut 50% of the CD tracklist, I'm not sure why Alcazar or Cher would be among the survivors.

 

Must admit I laughed at Cher making the cut on the vinyl.

 

The 2001 classique with 3.3m streams to its name on Spotify, only 463m to go until it catches Believe.

Shame it’s only on vinyl and not on CD. I’d also like all 4 Eurovision songs to make Now 115 but I reckon they’ll only include Loreen (the winner) and Mae Muller (the UK entry)

Got my copy of Now Millennium 00-01 this weekend, was wondering if we might get an "Extra" version with three more discs, I would like to think so for those two years. Again, I wish it was done as a Yearbook release, but maybe that’s still to come in another 2-3 years when they have rinsed the 80s and 90s.

I think Now Millennium 2000-2001 is a continuation of the millennium editions which were released in 1999 and besides, I do hope they do a Now Millennium Extra 2000-2001 with 66 tracks with more trance hits and songs which only appeared on the Hits series. And if they intend on including Tina Turner on Now 115 as a tribute, they should include "Proud Mary" seeing as WLGTDWI is already on Now 3 and Now 107 and "The Best" is already on Now 16 which will also be re-released towards Christmas
