With Natasha Bedingfield on Now Millennium 2004-2005, they should’ve included Unwritten instead of These Words. I know These Words is the higher charting song but today’s generation are more familiar with Unwritten than These Words

Have you seen the tracklists for these editions? They’re not going after ‘today’s generation’ (whatever that means…)

As long as it gets included on Now 117, that’s the main thing. I imagine they will as the audience they are targeting will definitely be familiar with that song

Looks like we’re gonna have two spin-offs on 15th March. I thought I’d also make a list of songs which have appeared on multiple yearbooks

The Police - Don’t Stand So Close To Me (main 1980 and main 1986)

The Cure - Close To Me (main 1985 and extra 1990)

The Psychedelic Furs - Pretty In Pink (extra 1981 and main 1986)

Amii Stewart - Knock On Wood (main 1979 and extra 1985)

New Order - Blue Monday (main 1983 and main 1988)

M - Pop Muzik and Bananarama - Cruel Summer could be added to the list if they get included on any of the 1989 yearbooks

Now 12 inch 80s 1982 part 2 5th April

Now yearbook 1989 12th April

Now That's What I Call One-Hit Wonder (to be released 26 April 2024)

Now millennium 2006- 2007 24th may

Take pinch salt as it wiki use as rough guide

The release date for Now 12" 80s 1982 Part 2 has now changed on wiki. They now have it as due for release 5th April and if 1989 is the next yearbook, I’d rather it was 1987 as 1987 will have more Now omissions than 1989 and I wonder if The Gambler by Kenny Rogers will be on Now Millennium 2006-2007 seeing as it peaked in 2007 and didn’t appear on any of the 1978 yearbooks

Wonder when we will anticipate the 117th tracklist, maybe next week?

Hopefully this week if they do plan to release on 22nd March or next week if they plan to release on 29th March. It’s more likely gonna be one of those two days as wiki have Now 12" 80s 1982 Part 2 on 5th April and Now Yearbook 1989 on 12th April

Now 12" 80s: 1982 - Part 2 (to be released 5 April 2024)

Got right date now sound about right

I could tell it was fake when it said 15th March because there’s no way that they’ll release 3 spin-offs in a day and if Now Yearbook 1989 is being released on 12th April, then it would make sense to switch the release dates between that and Now 12" 80s 1982 Part 2 so that way, 12" being released on 12th and if 1989 is gonna be the next yearbook, then I hope Queen kicks off both of them with I Want It All kicking off the main yearbook and Breakthru kicking off the extra yearbook

You can never rely on wiki as they now have 1974 down as the next yearbook instead of 1989. If that’s the case, I think they’re doing it 70s, 80s, 90s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 1987 might be after that if 1974 does end up being the next yearbook

I didn’t upload it as I was expecting it to be announced yesterday. If part 2 of 12" 1982 is being released on 5th April and the next yearbook is being released on 12th April, then Now 117 will most likely be released 22nd or 29th March and it hopefully gets announced next week but for now, here’s my final revision

Ok so you think the following will be omitted then?

Sophie Ellis-Bextor – Murder On The Dancefloor

Beyoncé – TEXAS HOLD’ EM

Dua Lipa – Dance The Night / Training Season

Olivia Rodrigo – Can’t Catch Me Now

Charli XCX & Sam Smith – In The City

Lil Nas X – J CHRIST

YG Marley – Praise Jah In The Moonlight

Noah Kahan feat. Sam Fender – Homesick

Jess Glynne – Friend Of Mine / Enough

Paloma Faith – How You Leave A Man / Bad Woman / Pressure

Jennifer Lopez – Can’t Get Enough

Jazzy – Shooting Star

The Beatles – Now And Then

The Rolling Stones feat. Lady Gaga – Sweet Sounds of Heaven

The Killers – Spirit

Kings of Leon – Mustang

Selena Gomez – Love On

I personally think any one of those songs, even the flops, are also in contention knowing the choices Now have made before.

Out of those, Beyoncé and the Beatles will definitely be omitted due to licensing. I’ll eat my hat if any of those two appear. I hope YG Marley appears but he might not as Bob never appears same reason, licensing. Noah already has two songs which will more likely appear so his Sam collab will most likely be saved for Now 118 and same goes with Training Season. Love On has literally come out of nowhere so could be saved for Now 118 and none of the songs from Paloma’s previous album appeared on a Now. Can’t Catch Me Now might not appear due to it appearing on a film soundtrack. Same reason why Dance The Night never appeared. And as they sometimes tend to miss out on big hits, I hope they do miss out Murder On The Dancefloor due to it previously appearing on Now 51. I won’t rule out J-Lo and Jess just yet

I’d like to see Billy Joel’s new track on there as he has never appeared on a numbered Now before.

I don’t think he appeared on the Hits series either. I can’t believe they tend to include Duran Duran’s lesser known hits or flops on every Millennium series or yearbook series but they didn’t include A View To A Kill on any of the 1985 yearbooks. As for spring Nows, they should have a fixed release date like the summer Nows and the autumn Nows instead of shuffling the release dates round all the time. They should change it to a fixed release date of first Friday in March, summer Nows first Friday in July and autumn Nows, first Friday in November so it evens the releases out to 4-4-4 instead of 5-3-4
