March 18, 20223 yr Unpopular opinion but the first series is possibly the most overrated season of Drag Race, it was decent but christ the way people go on about it... If there's a queen as great as Carmen here though I am here for it
March 26, 20223 yr España for me was the best first season of any franchise and I am SO excited for more. That roast episode remains one of the best episodes of all time and the entire season is my 8th fave ever. Carmen I’d say is my 6th fave winner

March 26, 20223 yr I mean my Italian is good but I still didn’t like Drag Race Italia… Conversely I loved Thailand and don’t speak a word of Thai.
March 27, 20223 yr Author Drag race Italia was a slog to watch for me... but I heard it was well received in Italy so I chalk it up to a cultural difference!
March 27, 20223 yr I cant speak Italian, Spanish or Dutch but have really enjoyed the Spanish and Dutch seasons. The Italian one was not my favourite however
March 27, 20223 yr What a fabulous episode. Onyx absolutely MURDERED and Sharonne was also really fantastic. There was basically only 2 duds and they were the bottom 2- even Jota that placed low was lightyears better than the bottom 2. Shame to see the girl who went home go home but can’t imagine she would have given much more- even though I definitely did fancy her. A talent show with the queens of season 1 back as guests next week!!! Carmen looks STUNNING in the preview
March 28, 20223 yr I'm shocked Ariel wasn't in the bottom 3 to be honest, other than that I agreed. The standard is definitely really high, Sharonne is definitely my favourite so far! Just from the runway presentation, you can tell she is so seasoned and can do everything. It's so refreshing that they cast an older queen not just to be filler or to fit a quota, and she's already getting her dues instead of being overlooked like they sometimes are. I love that this cast is so varied too, I feel already that I'm going to enjoy this season a lot more. Marina, Sharonne, Onyx, Estrella and Venedita really excite me so far, but I think most of this cast have a lot to bring. Marisa sadly to me seemed like a first out right away so I wasn't surprised, but she seemed nice enough. Her drag just didn't feel like it was up to the same standard as the rest of the cast here. Samantha is SO annoying though, I feel like she is just loud for the sake of being loud and she thinks she is better than she actually is. Maybe she is that good as I know she is famous in the scene but from that episode I got none of it and you have to show it on the show not just have a big name! I'd rather she went than Marisa tbh but I'm not sure she will last that long anyway at this point.
March 31, 20223 yr Author Sethlas was my winner for week 1 or possibly Marina! DRES is such a pleasant watch, it feels warm in a way that US Drag Race doesn't always these days. Just hoping that Juriji doesn't get carried if she has flaws. It would be refreshing to see a trans contestant treated as a regular competitor instead of like someone needing to be given passes which imo is patronising. Jota will probably last a bit longer as she's the villain!
April 3, 20223 yr The standard is SO high, to think it's only episode 2 and honestly out of that whole talent show, none of them deserved to be in the bottom with Samantha and Ariel. Diamante was kind of robbed tbh especially with that runway, Sharonne was great though. Juriji could have been in the top over Sethlas fr me due to the latter's runway but the transformers reveal for Sethlas' talent show was a GAG for sure. Samantha is borderline insufferable and it seems like they're giving her so many passes due to her being a known name? Again as I said, you need to actually show what you've got on the show, your name alone means nothing! She really needs to stop de-dragging across a lipsync too :/
April 4, 20223 yr Author I might have given this win to Juriji but I'm stoked that they aren't going out of their way to give her high placements. DRES honestly just has such a positive vibe to it with all the judges. Although I'm missing the blonde Javi being blonde! Great looks this week from the whole panel though. Also the gag of not letting last week's winner have any grace and putting her straight into the B3. Bringing back all the S1 dolls already was very Thailand S2 as well.
April 4, 20223 yr The quality of the queens on this season is insane!! Krystal Versace would’ve been eliminated by now if she was Spanish. That talent show could’ve feasibly had about 8 tops and I’d have had no qualms. I can’t believe Sethlas was literally a Transformer and switched from automobile to jumping into a split in one performance, lmaooo. Also, Hugaceo’s runway was everything! April 5, 20223 yr Episode 2 was probably one of the best episodes ever in the whole franchise. The talent on display was insane; much better than any of the US talent challenges we have seen and that runway. Wow! I think Onyx and Sharonne are my favourites thus far but it's hard to tell as there is so much talent. The only one I'm not too fond of is Samantha, who should have been gone by now.
April 11, 20223 yr Police are needed because Juriji was robbed BLIND today?! I didn't really understand Venedita winning, I'm glad she got her slayage kicked off as I really like her but I didn't quite get it. I thought Estrella, Juriji and Onyx were better tbh. Sharonne top I didn't get either, I didn't find her that funny in this compared to Estrella, this is beginning to feel a bit like a "Sharonne will win and everyone else is along for the ride" which is a shame although I like her, because it's such a strong crop. For me: WIN Juriji HIGH Estrella, Onyx LOW Jota Bottom 2: Samanatha, Marina Marina... literally just sat there the whole time? :lol: I am baffled as to how she was safe there. I can't take to her personality either at all, I was kind of living for Juriji reading her in Untucked, she seems quite cold and distant to me.
April 11, 20223 yr estrella was the clear winner for me! i, too was a bit confused at venedita winning but idc cos i love her. would have gone: WIN estrella HIGH venedita, onyx/juriji LOW marina BTM 2 diamante, samantha estrella is pulling away as my favourite too. the scene where she was talking abt jota's scarf had me in STITCHES
April 11, 20223 yr Author Jota and Sethlas were my B2, that scene was just awful. Marina was lumbered by everyone else in the team. I would have judged in teams probably even if it meant sparing Samatha. Onyx and Juriji were hilarious though. Sharonne has to be a nailed-on top 4 now?
April 12, 20223 yr estrella is pulling away as my favourite too. the scene where she was talking abt jota's scarf had me in STITCHES Omg I was dead, I love her! She's just so effortlessly funny and has that lights up the screen quality, such a joy to watch.
April 17, 20223 yr That was the weakest episode for me so far, the Rusical felt about 3 hours long :lol: Juriji bottom too?! Why do make them record their own voices and then put the best singer in the bottom? It felt like anyone with that role couldn't have done well, but she wasn't the worst by any stretch. Onyx, Jota and Diamante all did worse imo and I thought Marina was way overpraised for not much. Diamante and Onyx both had roles that could have been so much but they did so little with them, particularly Diamante. Right elimination though, I don't feel that for the time being Jota had much more to give, maybe given some time to grow and come back for All Stars she will. Sharonne is verging on professional in a bad way for me, if that makes sense? :lol: I mean it in the sense that you know what you're going to get from her every time, and it's going to be good, or flawless even, but you already know you're getting it. There's no excitement or oomph there and they're really pushing her in our faces, there was no need for her to be high last week imo. Both times she was tied to Estrella and outshone but they still act like she's the be all and end all every time. It's really putting me off. Marina is also the weak link for me atm, I like her aesthetic but I just get very little from her in terms of personality and performance, go girl give us NOTHING. As it's Snatch Game next week I feel like her or Onyx might be the looks queens who have a Hugaceo level bomb, and I can't see past Sharonne winning as impressions are her bread and butter. I wonder if Sharonne will get a better track record than Carmen at this rate?
