March 20, 20223 yr I’m in agreement for you for Forbidden Love (Confessions era) to win or Sky Fits Heaven. Unsure for first out though I’d have maybes thought something from MDNA but the tracks from that era are actually quite strong here! Really hope 1998-2005 Madonna does well here though that’s when she was at her creative peak for me!
March 20, 20223 yr Only three songs received my lowest score of 6 (which still constitutes 'good' for me) which were 'I Know It', 'Over & Over' and 'HeartBreakCity', so those out first preferably. I do think the early tracks and the 'I'm Breathless' tracks will be getting hit early on. I think 'Skin' would be my favourite album track so that winning would be great, but really I think there's various songs I'd be happy see win.

Back In Business ~ 5.50 I'm gonna show you the brighter side of living in sin Here's your bottom 3 (of the winners). We unsurprisingly for a few of us, lose two tracks from I'm Breathless: He's A Man and Back In Business both have the same average, same number of 9s, 8s and 7s so it's down to the song that received more 6s for which comes out on top :lol: This means just one more track remains from the album to be in contention for our favourite Madonna album track. Elsewhere, we lose Stay from the Like A Virgin album! Do you think these are the weakest of the songs in contention here?
March 21, 20223 yr Author No losses so far and a predictable bottom 2 given the album it comes from doesn't really compare to her solo studio ones. As far as 'Stay' being the next bottom track - as cute as it is, I am not fussed!
March 22, 20223 yr The two 'I'm Breathless' tracks deserved better than last place. There's some stinkers on the soundtrack but I do genuinely enjoy those songs. 'Stay' is catchier than I had previously given it credit for, but still quite throwaway so not too fussed about it going out so soon.

Something To Remember ~ 6.10 I'm in the middle of a world not pretty With Something To Remember we have lost all 3 tracks from I'm Breathless in the first 4 songs out! The averages have jumped up slightly so it's not all bad for the album. The song also was the inspiration behind the title for Madonna's ballad soundtrack album. Elsewhere, from the debut album we lose Think Of Me and from the much more recent Rebel Heart album, HeartBreakCity stops beating. Songs from 3 completely different eras, do you agree with the tracks just missing out on the top 40 countdown?
March 23, 20223 yr I really like the lyrics to 'Something to Remember', taking something positive from a sad situation. It kind of reminds me of 'I'll Remember' in that sense. It just suffers slightly from being a bit drawn out. 'Think of Me' is a bop but pretty simplistic so no surprise to see it out so soon. 'HeartBreakCity' was a favourite from 'Rebel Heart' at first but has fallen down my album rank since, I guess it doesn't really go anywhere and I don't feel as compelled to return to it. I said in the voting stages that whilst 'Rebel Heart' is a big step-up lyrically from 'MDNA', the production is very basic throughout, whereas 'MDNA', despite its mixing issues, is more exciting in that respect.
March 23, 20223 yr Stay, HeartbreakCity and Think of Me don't deserve to be this low! Although having said that, looking at the whole list I'm not sure exactly where I'd place them. :thinking:

March 23, 20223 yr HeartBreakCity is good but there's a fair few on top of it on the album for me. I particularly like the live tour version. Still not over 'Love Don't Live Here Anymore' being cut from the tour DVD/album. <_<

I Know It ~ 6.80 Hold me like your money, tell me that you want me Another track from the debut drops out - will it be the second album to lose all of its tracks after I'm Breathless? I Know It is out in 40th place! We also lose the first track from MDNA in Love Spent and the first of two tracks with the title Forbidden Love. Here it's the Bedtime Stories track out, but how high will the Confessions version manage, I wonder :thinking:

March 24, 20223 yr Forbidden Love is the biggest loss so far. It's strange, though, because I look and think "Oh, that doesn't deserve to be so low, there are worse album tracks". Then I have to remind myself that Yes, there are... and we didn't vote for them to be in the Top 3 of each album. So these songs are just the lower placed of the higher placed album tracks.
