This is a good bunch. 'Forbidden Love' is so sultry and really encapsulates the vibe of the album it's from.

'Love Spent' is a big favourite on MDNA, but it's about right here against the other big hitting album tracks. Same with 'I Know It'!

35. Love Makes the World Go Round ~ 7.05

35. White Heat ~ 7.05

37. Over and Over ~ 7.00

If I fall, I get up again now

Like A Virgin loses another track in Over and Over. The song is about picking yourself up after disappoinment and rejection. Elsewhere, True Blue loses two of its track in one fell swoop as both songs tie for 35th. First up it's White Heat which was dedicated to actor James Cagney and named after the film of the same name: two quotes from the film's original soundtrack feature in the song. And then it's Love Makes the World Go Round which was originally intended to be the album's first single. The song was first performed at Live Aid a year earlier and it recalls the antiwar music of the sixties.

^ none of these are better then FL or Love spent but i have such fond memories of these 80’s album tracks.

Love Makes the World Go Round is my fave there and my first proper loss. I wish it could've done a bit better. Such a feel good song.

Not too huge on White Heat or Over and Over~

I loved Over and Over from Virgin and White Heat from Blue, but Love Makes... never really caught my attention.

Still, three good album tracks taking a reasonably early bow there.

32. Easy Ride (more 10s) ~ 7.15

33. Survival ~ 7.15

34. Physical Attraction ~ 7.10

What I want is to find my place

The final track from the debut album drops out. Physical Attraction is voted your favourite on the album but it's still low down in the overall stakes. The debut album becomes the second to lose all of its tracks! Bedtime Stories loses its second track next with Survival. The song is about her survivals in the music industry and she hits back at the criticisms she faced over the years previous - it opens the album introducing its themes and sound perfectly. Finally, with more 10 scores, Easy Ride is out, the first from American Life. Similar to the previous track, this one represents Madonna's life as a full-circle moment as she reflects on her career to date. This time it's used to close the album not open it.

i was surprised survival qualified

Survival is easily my favourite of that bunch. I am not too keen on Physical Attraction and while I enjoy Easy Ride in its placement on the album, it's not one I return to often outside of that.
I really love the song Survival, because it really an amazing song.

29. Joan of Arc ~ 7.30

30. She's Not Me (more 11s) ~ 7.25

31. Amazing ~ 7.25

Just hold me while I cry my eyes out

We have a tie next but an 11 score for She's Not Me means it narrowly overtakes Amazing and enters the top 30. The latter track is taken off the Music album and was released as the album's 2nd promo single. It was hevaily rumoured to be the 4th single, with radios even playing it, but it was eventually scrapped. The song remains the only song off the album to not be performed live by Madonna. The former track is from Hard Candy and deals with women trying to be like Madonna. Proceedings slow down a fair bit with Rebel Heart's Joan of Arc; a ballad about how even the strongest of people can have a fragile and vulnerable side. Within the song, self-confidence can be seen to be a shield to mask someone's insecurities.

All three of these are Amazing!!

Amazing and JOA could have been singles!

I think 'Amazing' was in contention to be a single, and thank GOD that never happened!

I only like 'She's Not Me' as part of the She's Not Me/Born This Way/Express Yourself medley, otherwise it's a hard pass.

'Joan of Arc' is the best of those three, but I wouldn't exactly consider it a highlight of Rebel Heart.

'Forbidden Love', 'Easy Ride' and 'Physical Attraction' all deserved better, the rest are more or less where I'd place them.

Physical Attraction is absolutely magnificent, as somebody has already said.... sublime, and for me, one of her absolute best.

p.s there's a cover version of Physical Attraction in an '80s movie, whose name I forget. Just sayin'

Survival is one of the best tracks from Bedtime Stories, and She's Not Me is one of the best from Hard Candy.

Not too bothered by the other 4 dropping off.

It's an alright bunch for me. I was more of a fan of Joan of Arc at the time of the album's release but I sort of lost that love over the years even though I still find it beautiful. She's Not Me is definitely a big one on Hard Candy and it's about where i'd place it in this list - same with Amazing actually. A very safe song but it works among some of the more chaotic/experimental moments on Music.

26. Gang Bang (more 8.5s) ~ 7.40

27. Love Don't Live Here Anymore ~ 7.40

28. Faz Gostoso (featuring Anitta) (more 8s) ~ 7.30

You were building my coffin, you were driving my hearse

Madame X loses its first track as Faz Gostoso drops out. A cover of the Brazilian-born Portuguese singer Blaya's signature hit, Madonna teams up with Anitta to offer this tribute to her Brazilian fans. She had to relearn Portuguese for the song all about having an extramarital affair. Another cover now! This time, Madonna originally recorded the song for her Like A Version album before it was eventually pushed as a single for her ballad compilation album several years later. Its inclusion here is due to it remaining an album track on its initial album release! Finally we lose Hard Candy's Gang Bang - it would've done a fair bit better had it not been dragged down by a score of 3.5 from one poster :o The song is a thumping brutal song about a woman taking revenge on her lover.

Which poster gave it a 3.5? :o :kink:

Everything kinda going okay at the moment. No huge losses yet for me.
