Gang Bang is my favourite in this bunch. It's such an explosive song and should've been a single with crazed music video. It sounds like a deranged Bond track!

I also have grown to really like Faz Gostoso - become a favourite on Madame X.

I liked the live performance of Love Don't Live Here Anymore at the Rebel Heart tour. The song is good and about where I'd place it in this countdown.

23. Thief of Hearts ~ 7.55

24. Intervention (more 11s) ~ 7.50

25. Beat Goes On (featuring Kanye West) ~ 7.50

I know that love will change us forever

Hard Candy's second track is out. This time, Madonna teamed up with Kanye West and made sure the Beat Goes On. The song has a '70s R&B meeting '80s dance vibe and a rap interlude by Kanye. Taking in more top scores (an 11 from Dandy*), Intervention is out. A love song to Guy Ritchie, the folk-inspired song is reflective and offers a softer side to Madonna on an album filled with more abrasive tones. An optimistic song about making it through the difficult times in a relationship, it features an acoustic guitar and heartfelt lyrics. Finally, Erotica loses its first track. Thief of Hearts opens with glass smashing and continues with Madonna forcefully batting away a rival for her affection's eyes.

Absolutely adore Thief of Hearts - what a badass song! Right from the glass smash at the start you know she means business. I think it's essential to the Erotica album.

Also love Intervention - one of my favourite ballads from her and I love its inclusion on American Life. You really see a side to her in complete contrast to the bravado of its parent album.

Beat Goes On is fun! I am a massive Kanye fan and the two do work well together but I feel like (a bit like with Love Song) a collaboration between two of my all-time favourite artists should pop off just a little more.

All in all, a strong set!

21. I'm Addicted (more 10s) ~ 7.60

22. Waiting ~ 7.60

Don't go breaking my heart like you said you would

The final two tracks out before the all-important top 20! Erotica loses another song in quick succession, as Waiting's time is up. The yearning ballad features spoken word and addresses the idea of rejection or an unrequited love. And gaining more 10s, but not enough to crack the top 20, it's I'm Addicted from MDNA. The elctro-house song fits the lyrical and sonic vibes of MDNA perfectly. The song uses the metaphor of being addicted to narcotics as being the same rush that comes from a rush of love or lust. With a play on her name, and the album title, Madonna chants MDNA as the song climaxes and experiences a full barrage of ecstasy.

Both of these would be near the bottom for me!

Im addicted is very overrated!

'I'm Addicted' in hindsight should've been the lead single.

Completely agree, the entire campaign was a mis-fire & it all started with that awful lead single. This is how the campaign SHOULD have went =

"I'm Addicted"

"Gang Bang"

"Masterpiece"

"Girl Gone Wild"

This era could have easily been a lot more successful & may have given Madonna 1 or 2 last big hit. Also "Masterpiece" given a full push with a music video. Also have "I Don't Give A" & "Love Spent" as promo singles for radio/digital download formats & give one of them a music video. "I'm Addicted" would have been perfect as the lead as it really set the tone lyrically and in sound, along with a cool edgy music video, it could have easily smashed. Then release 'Gang Bang' just ahead of the album with a big budget controversial music video that could have created some hype, as well as some live performances, this could have easily been a decent mid-level hit, but not as successful as the lead single. Then in the summer slow things down with the gorgeous 'Masterpiece' whicb would have showed another side to the album, along with a classy music video. Although doubt this would have been a massive hit or anything, but may have helped drive some album sales. Then for the final single release it towards the end of the summer 'Girl Gone Wild' - xoz why not it already had a video anyway & it perform the same as it did chart-wise, but considering it was single #4 it doesn't really matter & end this campaign on a bang instead of a mere whimper.

I've been listening to MDNA this week and I'm Addicted really HAD to be the lead single. It's absolutely brilliant and easily the best thing on the album!

I'd have gone:

I'm Addicted

Masterpiece

-album release-

Girl Gone Wild

20. Words ~ 7.65

Words, they cut like a knife

Out next, Erotica loses another track! This time Words, which is very similar to Thief of Hearts from earlier in the countdown, as it also has punchy lyrics and an electrifying beat. Written and produced by Madonna and Shep Pettibone, it's about the power of words to hurt someone. In the song she attacks the speaker by saying their words are hurtful and she has no time for them.

this has beaten some top songs !!

19. Isaac ~ 7.65 (more 10s)

Wrestle with your darkness

Confessions on a Dancefloor loses its first track here as Isaac drops out. Taken from her 10th studio album, it contains the album's signature pulsating rhythmic beat and evergy. Regarded as the only song on the album close to a ballad, it was originally intended to be called "Fear of Flying" as it's a song about letting go. However Madonna settled for 'Isaac' after the English name of Yitzhak Sinwani, the featured vocalist.

^ reminds me of my DAd who totally hated this track!

Me and mum loved it however ❤️

'Isaac' is incredible and a highlight on a sensational album. The lyrics are so deep and powerful and the instrumentation is so brooding. All-in-all, definitely one of the album's best and one of the best album tracks of her career. I'd place it ~10 or so places higher than 19th :o
