He’s chameleonic like the pop stars he collabs with, gritty like the grime artists that inspired him. Born Harrison Armstrong in Manchester in 1999, Aitch grew up removed from the London scene, where grime blossomed during his formative years, but soaked up the music from afar. Then, as a teenager, he started rapping, building a following online with his snaking flows and dizzying rhyme schemes. Things took off in 2018 when he dropped his menacing debut single “Straight Rhymez”, and Aitch has since risen to the pantheon of hip-hop. In tracks like the 2019 remix of Ed Sheeran’s “Take Me Back To London”, you’ll hear his transition away from grime to sticky pop-rap, but his dexterous raps remind that he hasn’t lost touch with his roots. - Apple Music Ashanti One of the best-selling singers of her era, Ashanti shot to fame as the soulful, soprano counterpart to hard-rhyming rappers before coming into her own as a solo artist. Born in Glen Cove, NY in 1980, Ashanti Douglas grew up acting and dancing, then turned her attention to singing in her teens. Working with Murder Inc.’s Irv Gotti, she found stardom by nearly upstaging Ja Rule and Fat Joe on their 2001 singles “Always on Time” and “What’s Luv?” then made her solo mark with the defiant hit “Foolish.” With these tracks, she became the second artist—after The Beatles—to have their first three charting songs simultaneously occupy the Top 10. Ashanti didn’t slow down with her Grammy-winning 2002 self-titled debut, which sold over a half-million copies in its first week, then a record for a female debut artist. She continued her platinum-selling run with 2003’s Chapter II and the following year’s Concrete Rose, but financial and creative disputes with Gotti eventually slowed her music career. She returned to acting, appearing in musicals and movies, before coming back with 2014’s expansive Braveheart, which featured Rick Ross and French Montana. Since then, she’s released singles like 2017’s “Say Less” with Ty Dolla $ign and 2019’s upbeat "The Road" with Afro B. Those tracks make it clear—Ashanti hasn’t lost any of the unmistakable vocal prowess that made her a beloved R&B force. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History Aitch 2019 73 On The Way Home (JayKae & Aitch feat. April 1, 20223 yr Author 01 | 01 | 4th week Dave Starlight Non-album single Released: 3rd March 2022 Label: Dave / Neighbourhood Recordings Chart Statistics NE (17/03/2022) | 1-1-1-1 Sales: 100k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 26 Sales 01 Audio Streaming 03 Video Streaming Video iVWsP3IadBk Biography Challenging power and perception with a free-spoken approach to rap, Dave has indelibly amplified hip-hop’s voice in Britain. Born David Orobosa Omoregie in Brixton, London in 1998, Dave suddenly implanted himself in the UK rap scene in 2016, first with the electric grime alliance “Thiago Silva” with AJ Tracey and then when Drake jumped on the remix of the velvety “Wanna Know” from Dave’s first EP, Six Paths. Rebuffing label advances to pursue his career independently, he demonstrated a self-reliant streak on releases such as his 2017 EP Game Over, whose “Question Time,” a scathing attack on Theresa May’s Conservative government, garnered him an Ivor Novello songwriting award. Dave’s full-length debut, the Mercury Prize winner Psychodrama, followed in 2019; epitomizing his achingly honest rap style, it laid bare personal vulnerabilities while challenging institutional racism in a provocative fashion rarely heard in British rap. The centerpiece of the lavishly soundscaped album was “Black,” a heart-wrenching portrait of the prejudice affronting Black lives. At the 2020 BRIT Awards, where Psychodrama won Album of the Year, Dave started his performance of “Black” by accompanying himself on piano and ended it by excoriating British Prime Minister Boris Johnson as a “real racist” and executing a perfect mic drop. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2017 51 Wanna Know (feat. April 1, 20223 yr Author  Future chart hit? Harry Styles As It Was 1st single from Harry's House Released: 1st April 2022 Label: Erskine Records Video H5v3kku4y6Q Biography In a 2019 interview with Apple Music, Harry Styles shared a memory from the early days of One Direction. They were in the studio in Sweden working on “What Makes You Beautiful”. First single, the rollercoaster train just starting to climb the track. Someone comes into the room and says there are a couple of girls outside. Why? the band asks. They’re looking for you guys. For One Direction. “And we’re all just like, ‘But we’re in Sweden!’” Ah, the old, “who…us?” routine. Harry! Incorrigibly charming, dreamboat for starry-eyed youth the world over. And, as it turns out, a legitimate force in pop, the kind of artist who could bridge contemporary appeal with classic values in ways that felt fresh but familiar, universal. Part of what had made One Direction so great was that they never shied away from the pleasures of boy-band pop, but never patronised their audiences or fell back on gimmicks, either: Never mind the no-dancing policy; they were writing songs, exploring music as something beyond the show. In his solo career, Styles (born 1994, in Redditch, England) has done much the same, combining soul (“Watermelon Sugar”), confessional soft rock (“Sign of the Times”) and psychedelia (“Sunflower, Vol. 6”) with a modern touch, summarising where pop has been while also pushing it forward. “I’m just trying to go through life being a little less worried about stuff,” he said. “Definitely with working. Because ultimately, it’ll be okay.” He had a busy five years there. But he’s got a lifetime ahead of him. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2017 01 Sign Of The Times -1- MILLIONAIRE 2017 46 Sweet Creature -IG- 2017 51 Carolina -AT- 2017 58 Two Ghosts -2- 2017 64 Meet Me In The Hallway -AT- 2017 66 Kiwi -3- 2017 80 Only Angel -AT- 2017 87 Ever Since New York -AT- 2017 99 Woman -AT- 2019 03 Lights Up -1- 2019 04 Watermelon Sugar -4- MILLIONAIRE 2019 07 Adore You -2- MILLIONAIRE 2019 15 Falling -3- MILLIONAIRE 2020 26 Golden -5- 2022 __ As It Was -1- 1 x #1 | 3 x Top 5 | 4 x Top 10 | 5 x Top 20 | 6 x Top 40 | 14 x Top 100 Social Media Harry Styles http://i.imgur.com/1SERq1f.png http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/uploads/group_images/of_233.png
April 1, 20223 yr Author  Future chart hit? Shawn Mendes When You're Gone 2nd single from forthcoming studio album Released: 31st March 2022 Label: Island Records Video tp4fUH2E8uc Biography Shawn Mendes once said the best advice he ever got about how to handle pre-show jitters came from his then-tourmate Taylor Swift. “Just remember,” Swift said. “Everyone’s here to have fun.” Fun? Yeah, sure. But they were also there to see Mendes perform, share his feelings, bare his soul. “When you’re writing something super-honest and about people you care about and things you’ve been through, the last thing you want to do is re-live upsetting experiences,” Mendes told Apple’s Music around the release of his 2018 self-titled album. “But that’s the music that travels and connects with people.” And therein lies the rub. Soulful but soft, wholesome without sounding like he’s hiding something, Mendes is the rare artist who has managed to find audiences in both the teen-pop and adult-contemporary set, blending singer-songwriter conventions with the lighter sides of R&B and dance music, bucking trends in part by ignoring them to begin with. Born in the Toronto suburbs in August 1998 (a Leo—confident and optimistic), Mendes started out by uploading six-second covers of pop songs onto the video-sharing service Vine. Like Justin Bieber on YouTube before him, he navigated the leap from covers to original material, from making content to forging a career, modelling himself on the sound of artists, like John Mayer and Ed Sheeran—superstars whose charm lies, in part, in how un-super they seem. Within a couple of years, he released his first album, Handwritten. Success was huge and immediate. Illuminate arrived in 2016, followed by Shawn Mendes in 2018, marking transitions toward adult themes—anxiety, sexuality—without shedding the brightness or earnestness that made him appealing to begin with. “The hardest thing in the world is to wake up in the morning and be, like, ‘Today I’m me, regardless of how big of a song “Stitches” was,’” Mendes told Apple Music, referring to his 2015 breakthrough single. “The best way to do it is to ignore that and take your step forward in what you think sounds amazing. And that’s kind of all you can do.” - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2014 99 Life Of The Party -1- 2014 09 Oh Cecilia (Breaking My Heart) (The Vamps feat. April 1, 20223 yr Pretty surprised Dave has lasted this long mainly cos I don't think much of the song
April 1, 20223 yr Does 'Peru' have the biggest record for weeks in the top 3 (10) for a single not to make no.1? Consecutive weeks - yes I think so. Frank Chacksfield in 1953 had more weeks in total (13).

April 2, 20223 yr Glad that Dave did make it 4 weeks at the top despite Aitch's early lead. Looks like Harry Styles will probably be blocking any chance of Aitch rising to #1 now but he could end up with a rather lengthy #2 run if he still overtakes Dave soon. I don't really care for 'Bam Bam' but yay for it providing at least one newbie to the top 10 I guess (and always happy to see Mimi knocked down x). Happy to see 'she's all i wanna be' finally in the top 20 (now it seemingly has more momentum I hope it might still eventually challenge for top 10?) and a good position for Potter Payper, pleasantly surprised at the lack of negative reactions to that song as well. Blegh at Sigala making the top 40 in the end, I suppose it was inevitable really but it peaking at #41 would have been hilarious. It's like a somehow even more anonymous version of 'My Heart Goes (La Di Da)'. Not heard it yet but wow at that Vibe Chemistry song entering so highly, such a massive resurgence for drum n bass this year out of nowhere!
