We will be looking at each Gaga era over the next few weeks and letting YOU become a Little Manager! In this thread, discuss how you would've managed the era. Which singles would you have released, what songs would've received music videos, any promo opportunities you could utilise? Think as widely or as briefly as you wish!

What would be your ideal singles run for this era?

Here is how Gaga's team did it:

1st single: Shallow

2nd (radio only) single: Always Remember Us This Way

3rd (radio only) single: I'll Never Love Again

Would you have done anything differently?

The Fame era

The Fame Monster era

Born This Way era

ARTPOP era

Joanne era

Definitely!

Also before I think up the full rollout, 'Is That Alright?' DEMANDS to be given more exposure, it's my favourite song on the soundtrack but maybe I am biased :snif:

I think everything was correct and then some with Shallow. It was also performed at the Grammys and Oscars - both top notch.

However, she should've performed Always Remember Us This Way at least ONCE at the award shows. Don't know if they decided to actively NOT to send it to adds for US radio (maybe someone will remember?) but they should've tried at least HAC and AC if not pop.

It didn't need a music video as the performance was shown in full in the movie and such a huge moment working super well as a video.

As for the third single, I don't think the era really needed proper one as she was ready to move onto Chromatica by early 2020.

1st single: Shallow ~ I wouldn't change a single thing about the rollout of this. The live performances were simply incredible and some of the career highlights for her - the fact it is one of the biggest songs of all time? I wouldn't have it any other way!

2nd single: Always Remember Us This Way ~ It's done a lot considering it wasn't given a full push but imagine how huge it could have been with one? Full radio push in all nations, full streaming push, the works! At least one live performance too, oh what could've been :'(

3rd single: I'll Never Love Again ~ Radio and streaming push - a beautiful song and a staple for reality singing shows for sure!

4th single: Is That Alright? ~ :kink: I have to! It's my personal favourite on the album and I think it's her most beautiful ballad period. It could go on to be a staple wedding song or ultimate love anthem with further exposure. A true masterpiece of a song.

Either way, the era was gigantic. It could've just done with further pushing of songs away from Shallow imo to make it even moreso!

Delay Chromatica era if needed, there was so much more this era could've done.

(POP/HAC/AC)

1. Shallow

2. ARUTW

3. INLA

4. Is That Alright?

5. Before I Cry

(COUNTRY)

1. Shallow

2. Maybe It's Time

3. Music to My Eyes

4. Diggin' My Grave

5. I Dont't Know What Love Is

6. Too Far Gone (extended)

(ROCK)

1. Black Eyes

2. Alibi

This album was massive, but leaving it all to Shallow was an unprecedented stupidity. With this rollout the album would be at least 5x P in the US now instead of 3x P.

Also, they should definitely do a stadium tour in 2028 when the movie and album turn 10, tickets will sell out as soon as they go on sale.

1. Shallow (2018 September)

2. Always Remember Us This Way (2019 January)

3. I'll Never Love Again (2019 March)

4. Is That Alright? (2019 May)

They should've milked this era for all its worth, they didn't need to film videos. Her biggest era since TFM, stupid of them not to capitalise on her/the hype around her at the time.

Is That Alright? support, we love to see.

Also a tour :o didn't think of that but it'd be massive as a joint Gaga x Bradley tour! The range of audience members would be immense.

I think we were lucky to have two performances with Bradley considering they both have multiple projects going on at the time. If there was a tour, it'd have been short American tour.

How could've they pushed those singles with that schedule when Shallow hit #1 in the US in March 2019?

The perfect gap between singles is 4 months between the first and second single and then 3 months between the following singles, so:

September - Shallow

January - ARUTW

April - INLA

July - Is That Alright?

October - Before I Cry

The fact that Shallow only hit No. 1 on the Hot 100 after 5 months just means they could have pushed the song a lot more, like not waiting two weeks to officially send the song to radio, that's all, and even though the song had never reached #1, it was already a Top 5 hit. Not even trying to push other songs with huge potential on the album was a crime.

So you would've traded #1 to a moderate radio hit?

Yes, I'd trade one #1 hit for four or five Top 10 hits on the same album any day. Longevity is what sells, not peaks.

Also, Shallow was going to hit #1 anyway, the stars aligned for this song.

Is That Alright? support, we love to see.

Also a tour :o didn't think of that but it'd be massive as a joint Gaga x Bradley tour! The range of audience members would be immense.

This tour was going to be massive, you would see hundreds of comments on Gaga-Bradley videos from a lot of people asking if they would go on tour and that they would pay any amount to see them on stage. Sadly Bradley didn't want to go on tour with Gaga, as he's clearly shy and doesn't think of himself as a professional singer, but hopefully nostalgia and money will change his mind so that a big tour will take place in 2028, when the film and soundtrack turns 10. :king:

Not sure if ten years is really nostalgia yet, would need like 20 years. But if they do another project together, they could do some concerts as well.

Who stipulated this? 10 years is certainly a milestone, and no matter what future project they do, none will be as special or remarkable as ASIB.
