These videos are so insightful. I love how eloquently Jade speaks about the whole situation and how much she gives in such little time. Definitely makes the situation seem more human.

It kind of makes me frustrated that they didn't talk about it as a group before going on hiatus.

Time is a great healer, I'm sure they will come together at some point. They have been through too much not to. ❤️

Yeah I wish Jesy dealt with it better and had a proper conversation with them. But I remember Jesy saying she was hospitalised when she disappeared from the Confetti album promo because she was in a really dark place and after leaving hospital she decided to leave.

She probably wasn’t in the right mindset but yeah she dealt with it very bad. I really hope they can be friends one day.

I don’t know why but the communication (or lack thereof) element and the question about releasing music straight away is making me think of H & Claire

Sky One reunion show please where Jade turns to Jesy and asks ‘did you really hate us?’

I can sympathise with Jesy to some degree and understandably she had to deal with a lot. However, I just can’t get my head around why she couldn’t have even sent a message to them or could sit down and talk about it with them after she felt a little better?

I can’t help but think she burnt bridges when she came out with her solo single after blindsiding them like that. Jade, Perrie and Leigh are very conscious of when others release music and change dates etc because they’d never want to take away each others shine so I do feel Jesy decided she would get ahead of the game (or advised by management / PR) obviously it backfired massively so I really wonder whether she regrets it all now and wished she had spoken to them?!?

I agree she should have just spoken to them properly. However, I guess idk what it felt like for her and the whole dynamic at the time and with her feeling disliked/unwanted by their team. Must have been awkward for the girls to get on with their team and Jesy not, constantly in the middle.

I bet she does regret it all and is too embarrassed about how she dealt with it all to reach out. I really hope hearing what Perrie/Jade have said and being pregnant will lead her closer to reaching out to them 3 and taking accountability for her part.

I’m sure she’s just made big mistakes from not thinking clearly I don’t think it was ever done with malice.

I still hope one day they can all meet up behind the scenes and at the very least have a little hug and a heart to heart and move on even if that doesn’t come to anything at least there’s a more positive ending.

I guess we’ll have to continue to wait and see how it pans out.

I think Jesy is scared to reach out and probably Perrie is too based on what she said previously about not being sure whether to.

This is probably the last thing on Jesy’s mind as she’s been in hospital for 3 months but I hope to god they are friends again one day. I’d rather them be genuine friends again more than being a four piece (even though that’s what I’d love).

Jade’s latest interview which mentions her still being protective over Jesy.

For the first time our conversation stalls. Was it painful to realise that their friendship couldn’t survive Nelson leaving the group? “It was incredibly painful. For all of us that was the worst part, and it’s taken a lot of understanding and therapy and all those things to work out how that can happen when you’ve devoted so much time and love to someone. My biggest wish for that whole period is that it was handled differently. I just would’ve loved us to all sit and chat about it.

“We absolutely adored Jesy like family – it wasn’t just work,” she continues. “We all wanted to protect her, because we understood that trauma there and what she’d been through. I think we handled it as best as we could. All of a sudden we were a member short in the middle of album promo, with everyone asking what was going on. Obviously we don’t speak any more, and things happened that I don’t think should have, but I still do feel an element of protection towards Jesy. Nobody fully understands how complex the whole thing was – it wasn’t just a case of someone wanting to leave. Numerous things built up in the last year and in the back of my mind I knew it was going to happen. I’d just like for it to have happened in a … better way.”

Just a random quick question regarding the timeline of Jesy's departure.

It was stated a few times that she left the group after the Sweet Melody music video shoot (which I'm guessing was September/October 2020) but she was still filming The Search and performing on there in October 2020 - Sweet Melody on October 24th and Holiday/Touch on November 6th - so had she already 'fallen out' with them by that point? Or was The Search taped in advance??

Apparently the sweet melody video was when things really started to get bad.

I don't think they fell out during the SM shoot I think that's where Jesy really struggled having been through lockdown and then coming back to work it was reported that she wanted scene's cut and got really upset. I'm assuming having the time off and being happy and then coming back into the environment that caused her anxieties / stress was too much. The Search auditions were filmed earlier in the year but the 'live' shows were filmed 'live' or at least at the time so she was definitely still in Little Mix up until that point. She went silent and went on the break in November after the show (Missing from anything LM did) and never returned with LM / Jesy announcing she had left in December.

I honestly think there was no falling out, I think Jesy couldn't cope and she just erased it all and basically ghosted them all. From what the girls have said, it very much seems like they were in the dark about her upping and leaving (Although I'm sure they knew it was coming) and that was it she basically just vanished from their lives whether there was some heated text's / emails following who knows but I don't think they ever got the chance to even sit down and argue / debate her leaving in person she just did it and cut all ties.

Yeah so Jesy had a freak out on set, she said one of her friends working on the video said you can’t do this anymore if it’s causing you to be this upset.

She then went on to do The Search live shows, then she said she was hospitalised as she was in a very dark place and attempted to end her life again. Shortly after that she departed little mix.

Thanks guys, but I swear the story was that Leigh/Jade confronted her on the SM video shoot about her blackfishing and then she left the group chat on Whatsapp and blocked them after that. Didn't Jesy herself say on her Live with Nicki that it was the video shoot that caused the fall out?

I’m pretty sure she hasn’t said anything about any arguments with the girls.

This is what I can find:

"The last music video we did ('Sweet Melody') was the breaking point," the 29-year-old said. "We’d been in lockdown, and it was the first time I could have a break and be at home around people that I love. It was the happiest I’d ever felt and I didn’t realise that until I went back to work. I immediately became a different person."

Jesy continued, "I had anxiety. Whenever we have a music video I put an enormous amount of pressure on myself to try and lose weight. I have a fear of looking back on the camera. If I don’t like what I see, I find it so hard to be in front of the camera and feel amazing and perform.

"I’d been in lockdown, and I’d put on a bit of weight but I didn’t care. And they said, ‘you’ve got a music video in a couple of weeks’ and I just panicked. I went on this extreme diet, with bloody shakes, and tried to eat as little as possible. On the day of the 'Sweet Melody' video I had a panic attack on set because I didn’t look how I wanted to look and I found it so hard to just be happy and enjoy myself. I looked at the other three and they were having the time of their life."

There’s a scene in 'Sweet Melody' I’m not in because that’s when I had a panic attack and broke down. I was like, ‘I just want to go home.’ I was sobbing in the dressing room. Someone really close to me said, ‘This has got to stop. You can’t keep doing this to yourself. You’re going to end up where you were before.’

"For me that was the pinnacle point. I was like, ‘I need to start taking care of myself now because this isn’t healthy.’ It wasn’t nice for the other three to be around someone who didn’t want to be there. So I took a break. I went through a really dark time after the music video. My mum said, ‘this has got to stop now. I have seen you suffer too much. This has been ten years of your life.’"

“I was having these panic attacks out of nowhere. I couldn’t understand what was happening. It got to the point where I thought, this is too much – I need to come out of this now.”

Nelson has been calm, but starts to cry. “I did the music video and had a panic attack, and it was pretty mental that day. God, I haven’t really spoken about it and I’m getting upset. Sorry.” She brushes her tears away. “After the video I just got back in a really dark place and ended up back in hospital. That was when my mum said, ‘No more.’” The tears are still falling, and she grabs another tissue. “I had already decided. Then the girls spoke to Mum and said, ‘We think Jesy should come out of this now. She has to look after herself.’” So in the end it was their decision as much as hers? “Yeah,” she says. “Yeah. I know there are people who think I’ve let the other girls down, and that I’m so selfish, but I do think there comes a time in life when you do have to be selfish and look after yourself, and it was really affecting me mentally.”

What added to the hurt, she says, is that there were people who made it clear they were glad to see the back of her. “Certain people on my team didn’t care.” She comes to a stop. “I’m not talking about the girls. There were people on my team who knew how I was feeling and didn’t give a shit. They just weren’t bothered.” She means management? “Yep. There was an energy when I walked into a room. I felt there were certain people on my team who just didn’t want me to be there.”

I ask whether her unhappiness has made it tough for the girls over the years. “Of course. Course. We’ve all had our own problems. But it’s never nice to be around someone who’s down and doesn’t want to be there. As much as I needed to come out of it for myself, I didn’t want to keep putting three other people through that as well.”

Now Little Mix is a trio, two of whom are pregnant. Does she think the group will stay together? “I reckon they’ll look after their babies, go off and do their own things for a while, then make a comeback together. I think they’re just as sick as a three. They’re still doing it for girl power. I still love them to pieces. They were like my sisters.” Has she been in touch with them? “No, not as much. Not now. I think we all need time. It’s a big thing that’s happened.”

^That wasn't a fan, it was a member of their glam team.

Leigh-Anne changed the cover photo of a recent video to one of her and Jesy with the song ‘I’ll Still Be Here’ playing. Coincidence?

Looonat her deals on insta.
