They're back and on first listen to the new single it seems like they're going back to a more raw sound, really liking this!

I've played it a few times now and I agree it's great, my favourite thing they've done in a long time
I miss the days when a new Suede single would have some fantastic b-sides as well :(

This single is, of course, magnificent

Good news, the 12” version of “She Still Leads Me” that’s for sale on the Suede official website contains THREE b-sides that aren’t on the album. I’ve already got my pre-order in.

It’s a great lead single, much more raw than anything they’ve released in a long time.

The new single is solid! Also very relatable for anyone who has suffered the bereavement of a mother.

I can vouch for that :( They are very poignant for me after losing my mother in January.

For anyone interested, Rough Trade currently have their RSD22 release of Sci-fi Lullabies for £25 - that’s way cheaper than on release day. Wish I’d waited now! :o

So this is out! I haven’t listened yet but will tomorrow. Seems to be getting broadly positive reviews so hopefully it will be a good album

Good? Good? It is, of course, far better than just good. I don’t think it flows as well as The Blue Hour but it’s still fabulous.

I'm not familiar with much (any?) of their older material (I'm sure I've heard a few of their songs here and there but I wouldn't say I know any of them particularly well) but I have checked out the first two of the new singles and I enjoyed both of them a fair amount, especially 'She Still Leads Me On'. I might check out the album if the third single is good too (and/or if someone bribes me to).
