Kasper Schmeichel has left Leicester to join french side Nice. This is going to be a very big loss for Leicester and this close to the start of the season it could have a devastating effect on their season. They don't have anyone that is even close to Kasper's quality and with him being their captain it could really affect morale in the dressing room.

The Blues confirmed the move in a tweet mocking Brighton's dismissal of media reports earlier this week.

Alonso is surely on his way out. The fee for Cucrella is mad - I think he is a really good player, but that is a bonkers fee. Brighton have got a talented young player on loan and an exceptional fee, I think that is a good piece of business for Brighton longer term, but makes them shorter in the interim.

I think Cucurella will play a mix of LWB and LCB, he played both very effectively for Brighton and Chelsea are down a CB on last season.

Maxwel Cornet has completed his medical ahead of a £17.5m move to West Ham United from Burnley.

 

Cornet’s representatives are now finalising personal terms with West Ham.

Brentford have agreed a deal with Sampdoria for Denmark winger Mikkel Damsgaard for about 15m euros (£12.6m).

The experienced Brazilian, who turned 33 last month, has joined the Cherries on a free transfer after agreeing terms on a 12-month deal.

West Ham have accepted an offer from Fulham for defender Issa Diop.

 

The fee is understood to be £13m plus add-ons with the 25-year-old signing a five-year contract.
