Yeah I don't think it'll get to #1, unless the video is a huge talking piece like Formation was, I think it'll be a big hit though and be consistent which will be the first since Drunk In Love! Probably bigger than that even I'd imagine.

You make it sound like her star power has diminished since then, when that's obviously far from the case.

Also worth noting how she didn't even release a conventional lead single from her last two albums, both of which only further consolidated her status in the industry.

You do realise she's missed out on #1's due to weird release strategies and/or being "TIDAL exclusive" near enough ever since, right?

It's a strong start - expected a bit more personally (idk I was thinking about 750k-800k), but it probably would have done more had it been a Friday release and not a random Tuesday. I imagine she's going to get a huge video boost when she releases that. Her videos are usually always strong talking points.

Can see this being one of those long running #3 type smashes tbh. But ofc, nowadays it's far too early to count it out of being a #1 smash. Do we know when the video is set to premiere?

(Debuted at #2 in the US with 1,990,829 streams - expected #1 but with those kinda streams. I didn't realise just how big Joji's song was in the US!)

"Break My Soul" also only had 20 hours of the tracking day, for reference. With it being so close to #1 in both the US and the UK, I think those extra few hours would've gotten it there. I'm intrigued to see if it grows today and I'm sure with its addition to the important New Music Friday playlists tomorrow, it'll continue to grow. A music video is reportedly coming soon, so that'll no doubt give it a further boost too.

'Falling Back' drops another 5 places to #16, Hot Hits continuing to not help it at all (I guess it may have plummeted even harder by now without the add but it's definitely not turning it into a bigger hit). Surely needs to be swapped out for one of the songs people actually care about some time soon. I see 'Jimmy Cooks' is on HH as well but a bit lower down, no sign of 'Massive' on there yet though.

Kate Bush only increasing her lead over Harry today then. I guess that's partly down to the fact that the ST trailer for episodes 8 & 9 was released a couple of days ago which features the song prominently.
