Thought I’d do a post where we predict chart position and first week sales of Platinum collection for us to revisit after first week. Vote in poll and then comment below.

I’d be surprised if this opened with less than 30k. Number 1 currently but depends on if anyone else releases that day!

I certainly hope for that but declining sales and the reduction of part two makes me anticipate lower sales again. Will have a think 🤔

Hmm rather than ordering it myself and having it not count to the UK charts I might have to get my friend living in London to buy it for me. At least it’ll help with one sale.

I might set up a shipping service from U.K. for us lot if there is enough interest?

This is a GH though and I’m still standing firmly by my claim that the title didn’t help sales.

 

They obviously have more faith in this because of the amount of solo cds they’ve printed.

I’m going to say #1 but obviously depends on who else gets announced as releasing on that day. I think 25k-30k for sales due to the amount of formats. I’d be surprised if it was much more above 30k, just thinking Kylie’s greatest hits three years back opened with 31k and that was with a huge Glastonbury set (although less formats).

I also think the title did not help but the reduction in sales worries me have we seen many 30k+ this year?

Ok I predicted #2 as I feel some horrid thing will come and swipe it from them sob sob! Gone for 20k but I think it will just get there though

I honestly think some of you are underestimating the casual purchaser. I’m not saying it’s going to reach Adele heights but… it won’t be none existent either!

I do think this will have the casual buyer appeal, its something they miss out on with their studio albums but think this will fit that bill perfectly.
