It’s interesting that she has finished recording the album already. I suspect we’ll get a new single in January / February time followed by the album maybe around April time. Can’t wait!

According to her insta story, Kylie was back in the studio with Biff Stannard, Jon Green and Kamille.

Also saw whispers in the Facebook fan group of a song called 'Running' that's been recorded for the sessions, although unclear if that will make the album. Also apparently the (rumoured) single title might actually be 'Hold On to Now'.

I can get on board with Electric as an album title, I quite like how the BMG era album titles have been straight to the point and summaries the album in one word (assuming this album is indeed electropop that uses Slow as a blue print).
I’m really excited to read about the new album! At the same time won’t be a fan of ‘Electric’ album title, feels too generic for me.

It gives a Lisa Scott-Lee vibe. :arrr:

But better than DIsco though.

According to a rumour on say hey, the new single is called ‘hold on to now’. It’s a Biffco track. Album is called ‘electric’.

A tease from SayHey:

"Those who are loving the new Tove Lo album right now are in for a treat, similar electronic sound to lot of the tracks with that indelible DNA that Kylie brings to a record."

They've also said that Electric isn't the album title!

The singer/producer SG Lewis has put it out there that he'd like to work with Kylie:

"Kylie Minogue would be great. I want to put it out in the world to see if it would happen. Kylie put a couple of my songs on her Spotify playlist so we’ll see if something happens one day. Let’s manifest it!"

"I can't reveal what the sound is yet, but it is all super exciting," she told the PA news agency.

Here for melodic rap Kylie! *.*

Despite all this, “music still is everything,” Minogue says. Following 2020’s chart-topping global hit Disco — which went straight to number one in both the Australian and the UK album charts on the same day — Minogue has started to record a new album, expected to drop later next year.

“I’ve worked in Melbourne, Brighton, London, Surrey, Croatia and recently Paris so far — and most sessions have been back in the studio which has been a true delight,” she says.

One of her co-writers and producers is Biff Stannard, one third of Biffco, the team responsible for The Spice Girls’ rise to fame with Wannabe, and a previous collaborator with Minogue on corkers such as In Your Eyes and Say Something. While she’s not giving too much away, she promise the next album’s “feel-good factor will be HIGH!”

She’s itching to get back out onto the road too. “Not being able to tour Disco was so frustrating but I’m immensely proud of the Infinite Disco livestream show we did during the second lockdown. It was weird, challenging, upsetting but also uplifting connecting with all those people (over 300,000 of them) around the world.”

From Evening Standard Interview

Doesn't look like the new album is coming too soon if she is still recording it

But who knows

Its great knowing new kylie music isn't far away. I'm been slightly reserved as every so often kylie releases an album that hasn't lived up to previous releases and as I loved golden and even more so Disco. For me it might be hard to top disco but it's kylie and in general she knows how to deliver the goods in my opinion. I am intrigued by the electro sound and I'd love a base of like a drug sound for this album mixed with a bit of a Robyn sound.
