I think August 30 is too late for second single, as the focus track on the release week starting September 22 will be yet another track. (This purely from the chart perspective)

I agree on this — one or two weeks earlier would be better, taking into account that they would surely release another promo track one or two weeks before the album and have yet another selected track to promote on streaming for the album release week. The schedule will seem a little bit too saturated.

"Latest rumour on ATRL/Say Hey is that Tension is officially the next single. Was originally scheduled to release on 2/8 but they've pushed it back to 30/8 due to Padam Padam's success."

 

Lots of low quality ‘leaks’ suddenly appearing ala PP to build up some hype too.

Maybe Say Hey got in wrong and that Tension will be released 2nd Augudt instead of 30th!

I cant see why they would decide to push it back until end of August which would mean it would be released 5 weeks from Friday, maybe 2 weeks earlier might be better but there is the danger padam padam will continue to outshine it.

If true (end Aug release date), what a terrible idea!

Im just hoping Tension is the next single but i suppose its a bit unfair as for all i know there could be much better on the album.

Will be interesting to see all the promo lined up

 

Surely late August/September in UK & Europe before her residency. If it's only weekends in Las Vegas then she can do the big TV shows too.

 

Do they ever film Vegas shows and sell as DVD or to TV channels later ?

 

Probably do pre recorded stuff for Xmas in UK too and then be promoting in Australia too.

Nice makes sense!!! People need to book flights and book hotels!! Hopefully it makes some nice headlines, lets see if we get Vegas High or even a snippet in the filming. Would be happy if they used PP and a few other of her most famous hits to advertise. All creates streams and headlines. I am so invested in the Tension era. I don't get the phrasing though - "in talks to receive". As if there's something that is needed from Kylie and Shakira themselves? Or they are just in contention to receive these respective awards?

These are all PR tools these days, hence the "in talks to receive", but great for her and the visibility in the US if true.
