Why terrible? It’s only 3 weeks before the album comes out. If the 2nd single is well received, it will help build momentum for the album. There isn’t any difference in this release strategy to many other albums.

3 weeks before the album is great timing, it also means if the single is on the cusp of top for example, the album release will likely push it in.

Agree with this - seen so many singles go 56-67-63-26 etc., due to the album release giving a boost.

 

By releasing 3 weeks before the album, if it starts to take off and BMG play it right with physicals again they could have a 2nd hit this era :cheer:

And then a remix released in Week 4/5 to coincide with the Spotify monthly streaming cycle

I think maybe we could create a new one for 'Tension' when it's announced and save that for when 'Hold On to Now' becomes a future single, just because it may make the threads more seamless to read through in retrospect :lol:

I think they're more likely to use 'Vegas High' as a promo track than a fully-fledged single. But who can say?

I... broke the tension. I had a listen to it on Thursday! :drama: Then 3 more plays yesterday. I really don't want to burn it out before it's officially released though, so I'm determined not to play it again and again... even though I would really like to. It's amazing! :cheeseblock:

Im the same, i stopped listening to it so i can get even more excited when its officially out to the public, it really is great.

I'm refusing to listen to anything not officially released, knowing it's out there is KILLING me :cry:

I refusing too. I am doing the full roll out as planned and then i can praise and be critical as i go along on that basis haha.

 

All i hope is for a good video with Kylie and colour and dancing etc that gets everyone talking again. I also hope for similar roll out for 2nd single. Release on both deluxe and standard album Itunes to grab max sales, release video straight away and also track the charts day by day and feed us things when necessary

I’ve listened to the 10 second clips of Vegas High and Tension - not interested in seeking out the full tracks or anything else now until they are officially released.

 

Good to see the reaction everywhere though from people that have heard them, saving the experience personally for the first album listen though.
