This - an album leaking is totally different from a single leaking a week before release.

 

It seems there are leaks easily accessible everywhere but I won’t be listening, totally ruins the excitement and build up for me a plus it’s really poor that BMG seem to have lost all control of safeguarding one of their artists releases.

This album will be perfect timing for Gran Canaria pride in November for me woop woop.

They have 4 months until release date.

 

I think it maybe a quite soft launch at first.

 

 

I’m surprised the first single is not yet showing up on iTunes as preorder and once again, looks like a Thursday release which is just a bizarre day to release the single. Friday makes more sense as the first weeks sales will be a full week when interest is likely to be greatest from the fans.

I think they really don’t want to change much in the agreed schedule, even if all of the songs leak in HQ.

 

And I think overall it is the right strategy. They will be taking down the leaks from the likes of YouTube etc., and it will only stay in obscure sites, where 99% of the public won’t go. Especially with the lead single already available, which should happen very soon.

 

As for the rushed album announcement — the album cover image and track listing are impossible to take down, so it is naturally easier just to go with it, while the rest should have more or less the same rollout.

 

Rushing things with physicals, especially vinyls, not being properly ready, would damage the sales much more. Especially for the artist like Kylie who shifts a ton of the physicals to the loyal fanbase.

10 out of 10 is doing 40k streams a day without a video, any radio play, no remixes etc. It's doing fine for her.

 

I do feel they have released it quietly for a purpose early, before her first official single is out Padam Padam.

Remember when they almost made it his single when posting on signal media. I guess it was decided to stick it on Tension r

To help with a bit of streaming longevity, especially if summer is about to hit with Oliver Djing around.

 

Do you think we will get Padam Padam on Thursday? Maybe a social media post with a small video clip to tease could come tomorrow.

Hmm I'd take that with a pinch of salt. I'd only believe it if Kylie herself said it in an interview, and she clearly never would do that because it would just be rude to Oliver Heldens. She shared stuff about the song with enthusiasm when it was newly released, so it doesn't add up to me.

 

I also find it hard to believe that she would be forced to record a song and forced to include it on her album. I feel she's way past the stage of her career of being forced to do anything she doesn't believe in?

Exactly. She will like 10 out of 10, probably not as personal as the rest but she has a co-write on it and was liking all the other writers when released.

 

They have left it to do its work with Oliver Heldens and her album will benefit.

I totally agree, I'd say kylie is more in control now of her own career than she ever was.
