My problem with Hold On To Now is........ what playlists is it going to stay on and how is it going to grab attention of non kylie fans? It's already had its biggest Spotify streaming day and has already been downloaded by many as a single

 

I think any Kylie song is going to struggle for playlist support - the streaming platforms were hardly clambering to add Tension to playlists, and support for PP was sluggish.

 

Getting a post album hit is a challenge for current artists let alone Kylie and as we’ve seen from the album her streams haven’t sky rocketed, I hope HOTN is the next single - she clearly loves it and was happy for it to be this eras lead single until PP came along, and then she was going to release it as the follow up so she deserves to get it out there now - if they properly push it then it could surpass its #81 peak too.

Yep, but the album needs streaming points and therfore needs those streams that's Hold On To Now may already have collected. A single edit should be released with video and physical at same week

 

Anyway to be honest the word 'single' isn't what it used to be lol so anything could be released and with the correct physicals can be a top 40 hit now if sold at the right price.

 

I think Tension has actually settled quite nicely, just not sure how many more weeks of radio play it will get, so remixes maybe sent out all in the same week, maybe this coming Friday?

you need to give it another listen or 2. Its excellent and is a real grower. Took me around 4 listens until the songs started to spin around in my head

I love how people like and appreciate different things - I was :nocheer: on listening to Disco for the first time and it’s not an album I ever revisit :lol:

I revisit Disco alot, it's got sidelined now new material is out but I have to say I love the album, tension likewise.

Really? I mean, the standard edition yes, but with the super deluxe (or whatever it’s called) edition we have 16 Tension tracks, that’s actually pretty long! It’s the same number of tracks as the deluxe editions of Golden and Disco

Only 14 tracks on the deluxe CD and quite a few of them are under 3 minutes. The album just feels short due to some of the tracks not being very long.
