Im not sure its going to struggle to sell what Disco and Golden have? they have years of streaming sales on Tension and she has still potential new variants, reissues, sales, promo etc.

Honestly, with the success of Padam, we all thought Tension to be Fever 2.0 in terms of sales, turns out not.

I think ‘An Audience With’ will give it a massive shot in the arm for sales.

 

I do think TV show performances have been lacking so hopefully AAW will help rectify that.

the promo so far has been getting Kylie known again but the interviews have been Neighoburs, Dr Who, Residency, Padam and then a quick mention of Tension.

 

She has done G Norton and The One Show both of which she never performed on.......

We’ve had 2 x Top 20 singles, another #1 album about to go silver and it charting higher in countries than she has for years, whatever happens next is a bonus.

I get that it’s disappointing to not see the success of Padam reflected in album sales but those were always Kylie’s strong point (well, for the last decade anyway). It just highlights that hit singles and hit albums are too different things - Doja Cat is a prime example, along with Raye etc.,

^^ Some of those 90s re-issues won’t be troubling the charts so I wouldn’t expect a major influx of NAD releases charting - of course some will but some seem very niche.

Tension was never ever going to be as successful as fever. Sadly, those days are gone. I think the best we can expect is it stays in the charts till the end of the year and it might sell 120-130k in total but depends on promotion etc.

Even the biggest and most current artists wouldn't come close to the success of albums like Fever. These days double or triple platinum is seen as a massive massive success.

I’d be happy to be wrong but I doubt it will. TV shows don’t have the same kind of influence as they did before. It may sneak back to the top 40 or 30, but I doubt AAW will send it back any higher. Again - praying to be proven wrong!
