2023 Singapore Grand Prix: Post Malone And Robbie Williams To Headline The Event

 

 

Although most eyes will be fixated on the track, like every year, the action off the track at the Marina Bay Circuit is also a highly-anticipated affair. To ensure ticket holders get the very best experience, race promoter Singapore GP Pte Ltd has just unveiled the first wave of entertainment acts set to light up the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2023 from 15 to 17 September 2023.

 

The high-octane track action at the night race will be complemented by an 88rising line-up, Post Malone, and Robbie Williams. More acts will be unveiled in the coming weeks, which will complete the full entertainment programme for the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix.

The greatest hits compilation "XXV" landed in third place in the domestic album charts, the sold-out stadiums in Vienna and Klagenfurt were six years ago and Robbie Williams has been making us wait seven long years for a new studio album - but none of this can happen stop the hype about the British in Austria. When he sold out two this March, i.e. attended with a total of 30,000 fans and gave guest performances in the Wiener Stadthalle, the Robbie mania was felt all over Vienna. The day before his first appearance, resourceful tabloid journalists researched his noble whereabouts in the center of Vienna. With constant Instagram posts, wife Ayda Field Williams contributed to the fact that the family idyll, which was planned to be quiet and hidden, could not even be maintained for the three days.

 

WORLD STAR IN AUSTRIA

An award-free award that would otherwise be attributed to Andreas Gabalier or Wolfgang Ambros, but is otherwise rarely awarded to an artist of international stature. “You are the best country for me. Here I can be who I really am. You always treat me like royalty and I really appreciate that.", Robbie trumpeted with a trusting dachshund look at his gigs in the hall and despite all the show factor you knew there was more than just a grain of truth in it. While Williams never made the breakthrough in the USA, he has an established god status, especially in our latitudes, in addition to his homeland Great Britain. In the Alpine state, Robbie was somehow always omnipresent. As a rebellious boy band twink in Take That, as a solo interpreter who initially stumbled slightly, as a superstar storming the whole continent or as an elegant swing dandy. Robbie is also so popular in Austria because Austria is very much Robbie. Goschert, sometimes going too far, but still equipped with an unmistakable sense of humor and, at the end of the day, family-friendly and harmless.

 

ENTERTAINER QUALITIES

At 49, Williams arrived in life after years of scandals, drug crashes and artistic slumps. "I'm happier than I've ever been", he said towards the end of the Vienna shows, visibly moved - at this point the fans were already witnessing his unique life story. Instead of just reeling off hit after hit, Robbie came up with something special for this tour: He narrated his exciting career, which really got going in 1992 with the boy band Take That and later the inevitable one, either in the form of songs or stories Ende led until, with a mixture of entertainment talent, love of performance and a feeling for catchy songs, he resided at the top of the pop throne for years - with a missing happy ending in his partially adopted home USA. On the one hand, he hugged his fans, took them from distant seats to the front of the stage, or got up close and personal with them. On the other hand, he teasingly gave them the cold shoulder, caught them going to the toilet or when they were ignorant when asked whether they were still familiar with the very first Take That video. Carrot and stick, or as we like to say here: koit-woam.

 

Of course, fans know that Robbie doesn't mean it badly. Again and again, the rogue sat on his neck, while the level sometimes hiked to basement level. A penis was embroidered on his soccer jersey, memories and jokes about his primary genitals or the presentation of his butt took up almost as much of the show as the confidently downplayed first songs "Let Me Entertain You", "Monsoon" or "Strong “. Early in the set, he pushed the right buttons and nonchalantly asked, "Austria, are you louder than Germany?"The roaring from thousands upon thousands of throats could probably still be heard in distant Floridsdorf, and resourceful Instagram observers of Williams' family activities may have forgiven him for pouring an unspecified sauce over his golden-brown baked Wiener Schnitzel just a few hours before. A sacrilege! But also solid proof that Robbie can't even hurt the soul of the Austrian people in their holiest. Let's see what mistake he does to the Carinthian Kasnudln in summer...

 

As the evening progressed, the event became more of a therapy session. Williams has opened up about being kicked out of Take That, reflecting on years of insecurity, depression and isolation that he tried to numb with drugs, and being open about his hard-earned bad-boy image. The soul striptease was emotional and open and never seemed artificial. He has been in therapy around 70 times in his life and has not touched a drop of alcohol for 23 years. He sees his family as lifesavers and fate has prepared a happy ending for him. Robbie Williams is an old-school entertainer. He doesn't care about taste boundaries or political correctness and that's why he conveys a rustic form of freedom that art and culture urgently need. That makes him immortal, at least in Austria. Even if the best songs have already been written and the fiery shows played. Robbie, one of us!

Bernhard, very first solo live gig supporting Robbie Williams – what goes through your head?

It makes a difference whether you're a headliner or invited as a guest. But the fact that we were invited to play our first gig right there shows me that the time is right for Mr. Speer. I am fully motivated to pick up every single one of the audience there.

 

 

What is your relationship with Robbie?

I think he's great because he's so human, has ups and downs like everyone else and also stands by it. Unfortunately, I've never seen him live, but I'm really looking forward to it. I have to admit, I was already a fan of Take That!

 

Which number of his would you like to cover?

"Somethin' Stupid", preferably with Nicole Kidman (laughs) .

 

 

Do you have personality traits that resemble Robbie?

I don't know any character traits, I don't know him enough for that. But we both have tattoos and age is good for both of us. Whether I look as good naked as he does on the tour poster is something we probably won't find out anytime soon (laughs) .

The successful British singer was one of the main artists at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodríguez and proudly wore the Tri Femenino jersey.

 

One of the most popular artists in the world proudly showed off the jersey of the Mexican Women's National Team. We refer to the great Robbie Williams, who over the weekend took part in the Tecate Emblema 2023 music festival in Mexico City and, to the excitement of his fans, was on stage with the Tri Femenino jersey. It is not new that artists of international stature wear the clothing of the National Team in their presentations in our country, but what has generated positive comments towards Williams is that he chose the visiting Women's shirt of Mexico, in white with bright green tones and the number 3 on his back with his last name.

 

The former member of the band Take That performed for almost two hours before more than 50 thousand spectators at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodríguez, as one of the main attractions of the aforementioned festival, pleasing attendees with such famous songs as "Rock DJ", "Supreme" and "Tripping", among others.

 

In this event there was a great variety of talents and rhythms along three stages with bands such as Backstreet Boys, Camilo, The Kid Laroi, Diplo, Carly Rae Jepsen, Gwen Stefani, Kali Uchis and The Black Eyed Peas, among others. Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias, who was scheduled to close the event on Sunday, canceled his last-minute performance.

 

Robbie Williams, on different occasions, has declared himself crazy about football and is a fan of teams such as Manchester United and Real Madrid, as well as participating in different charity football matches. He is also a shareholder of Port Vale FC, a team in the fourth division of English football.
