May 4, 20232 yr Rumours circling Eurovision Twitter today are that the results will be revealed sort of like X Factor results, with all 15 artists on stage when announced one by one, and Alesha will speak to the first 5 through to ask how they’re feeling, before the next 5 are revealed. Feels a bit cruel to the exposed NQ’ers to me but sounds DRAMATIQUE.
May 4, 20232 yr Author I hope not tbh, the Green Room is effective enough, we shouldn't be in the business of humiliating actual musical artists.

May 4, 20232 yr I hope not tbh, the Green Room is effective enough, we shouldn't be in the business of humiliating actual musical artists. Totally agree. We shouldn't really be humiliating reality tv contestants either.
May 4, 20232 yr Aaaaah so this is why the BBC spent 2 decades tanking us, because they didn’t want to let the people who have stupid ideas like this loose
May 4, 20232 yr Oh GOD, what an awful idea. Exposing the disappointment of the non qualifiers for all to see. A very poor taste call considering the mental health progression TV has attempted to make in the last few years.
May 8, 20232 yr Author @1655589616483803141 This appears to be true following the dress rehearsal It genuinely looks so disrespectful, I'm mad.
May 8, 20232 yr Yeah, when it comes down to the last qualifier, there’s a split screen with all 6 on it so we’ll see everyone’s reaction to not making it. It is intense TV but I don’t think it was really necessary - the results section is nail biting without making it worse for the artists.
May 8, 20232 yr Rumours are that audiences are going to “mass boo” when it happens so there may be a last minute change!
May 8, 20232 yr It's been scrapped. Back to the old way. Yay! EBU. BBC. “After trying a new system of presenting the qualifying countries in Dress Rehearsal 1 of the First Semi-Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 it was decided by the production team to revert back to the previous reveal sequence used in recent years with artists learning whether they will progress to the Grand Final together with their delegations in the Green Room. Whilst this change will not now be implemented this year there are other innovations in the show for viewers to look forward to.” Edited May 8, 20232 yr by Colm
May 8, 20232 yr BIG sigh of relief there, keep X Factor's toxic irrelevant carcass away from our Eurovision pls ta x
May 8, 20232 yr Glad that this has rightly been consigned to the dustbin - the results sequence is tense enough without adding more cruelty to the proceedings.
May 8, 20232 yr Thank goodness, this is a celebration of music and not to be treated like trashy reality tv rubbish!
