What a final lap from Eilish. Worthy champion

Was hoping Jess Judd would get on the podium too but three Brits in the top 6 is great

George Miller, 75, became the oldest Commonwealth Games gold medallist in history as Scotland defeated Wales in the final of the B2/B3 mixed pairs bowls.

Miller is director for visually impaired bowler Melanie Innes who, along with Robert Barr and his director Sarah Jane Ewing, beat Wales 16-9.

Incredible!

Matt Hudson-Smith was sensationally denied Commonwealth gold as Zambia's Muzala Samukonga powered to 400m victory in the final strides.

World bronze medallist Hudson-Smith entered the home straight with a decent lead, but tied up with the line beckoning.

Zambia's Samukonga did the opposite, surging up from fourth at 350m to snatch victory.

England were denied a dramatic 4x400m Commonwealth relay gold after officials ruled they committed a lane infringement before anchor Jessie Knight edged the tightest of finishes.

Knight initially seemed to have secured victory by a hundredth of a second ahead of Canada's Kyra Constantine.

But the hosts were denied a fairy tale end to the athletics programme as judges spotted Jodie Williams' foot straying on the first changeover.

Still three days behind on coverage (:drama:) but the sheer number of medals we've been getting is insane! A real shame to see Geraint crash in the time trial as he could've won it I think - good to see Fred Wright get the silver after breaking through at the Tour! Great to see Nicholas Paul getting medals in the track cycling for Trinidad & Tobago too, always good to see new countries breaking through.
