Easier (Less joint pain LOL), like how some people say Arctic Monkeys and not "The Arctic Monkeys"

Not really though, just ‘Arctic Monkeys’ is the correct band name!

Done the rest now too, stop me forgetting doing it weekly.

If ATW doesn't count as the original is in for 2012, please add Caribou - Never Come Back to 2020.

Learning from previous RotDs, I'm frontloading my nominations for 2012 and will compensate with fewer in later years:

2012

Jake Bugg - Lightning Bolt

(The) Killers - Runaways

Lumineers - Ho Hey

Public Enemy - Harder Than You Think

Sub Focus (feat. Alpines) - Tidal Wave

Someone else please nominate:

Bruno Mars - Locked Out Of Heaven

Nicki Minaj - Starships

Skrillex (feat. Sirah) - Bangarang

2013

Bruno Mars - When I Was Your Man

HAIM - Don't Save Me

Neighbourhood - Sweater Weather

The latter was nominated last year for 2012, but I'm fairly sure it wasn't released until 2013 - similarly I'm pleased to see the nomination for HAIM - Forever, but I think that belongs in 2013 instead of 2012 as well. Just to ensure these aren't killed off before their time!

I put Forever as 2012 as it was originally released in June of that year, but it charted in the UK in 2013, looks like it was in the latter in here last year which makes sense.

Bros is a great shout.

Actually, is Bros 2013? I've nominated Silk for 2015 and they're on the same album - was Bros released as a single way before the album?

Forever is in the 2013 noms. We go through the noms and see where they are in previous years ROTD and try to see if the year is right. So there has been some movement in terms of years for some of the nominations. However Forever is (as per the second post in with the 2013 noms - as with last year (and I believe other ROTDs)

Taylor Swift - All Too Well (Taylor's Version)

Yeah after talking about the Taylor Versions, we've decided not to include them as otherwise those songs will end up getting another 10 years on this.

So i'll include your alternative :)

Bros was their first ever single, released before the Blush EP in 2013. They re-recorded it for the album (turning it from a 10/10 to a 8/10 imo) and the original hasn't been available officially since.

2012:

Demi Lovato - Give Your Heart A Break

Little Mix - DNA

Pink! - Blow Me (One Last Kiss)

someone else please nominate:

Little Mix - Wings

Owl City & Carly Rae Jepsen - Good Time

2013: (just gonna nominate 2 here & save an extra slot for a future year)

Bridgit Mendler - Ready Or Not

Stooshe - Slip

someone else please nominate:

Katy Perry - Roar

Selena Gomez - Come & Get It

I do think All Too Well (10 min version) should be included cos it is vastly different enough to the original (as well as actually charting unlike the original), though I agree with the likes of Love Story/You Belong With Me/IKYWT/WANEGBT/22 Taylor version's etc not getting included as they are basically the same as the originals.

as for All Too Well, it doesn't make much sense having it in both 2012 and 2021, I'd say just vote for whichever version you like the most in the 2012 round. next year we can perhaps re-evaluate whether the new version can remain eligible for 2021. (though I'm on erring to the side of no as the song was already fairly well known before)
