With every play, there's tracks I initially thought were just okay that are suddenly clicking with me more. I think it's such a strong album on the whole, and somehow it's well suited to Autumn listening

 

I ordered the Japanese version to have all the tracks on the CD - a bit pricey, but it bothers me if I don't own the version that includes everything!

 

How Anxious was relegated to being digital deluxe and Japanese CD exclusives I really don't know. Carly!!

 

I've noticed that The Loneliest Time (the song) has become the most streamed song on the album, surpassing Western Wind! I was disappointed that its moment on TikTok didn't exactly amount to much, but Spotify didn't respond at all to the viral moment... they never added it to the Viral Hits playlist (whereas they instantly threw support behind Meghan Trainor's Made You Look pretty much as soon as it started to grow on TikTok, even before it truly exploded). It feels like a missed opportunity that The Loneliest Time wasn't capitalised on, but oh well... clearly it's still being sought out, to have become her most listened song from the album.

In the UK, the album surprisingly managed to climb a bit, up to #219. Anything outside the Top 200 isn't really considered official, but technically its chart run so far is 16-229-219. It's a smash :cheeseblock: :kink: A pity it couldn't do just a bit more in the last two weeks, to defy the odds and have 3 weeks in the Top 200.

It really feels like Carly has been unfairly robbed of the opportunities afforded to Meghan Trainor throughout her entire career. :arrr:

Meghan hasn’t had any chances since her 1st album. Spotify blocked her album 2 onward. She needed the candy crush collab more than they needed her

If anything Carlys had much more success than Meghan as shes freerer musicially, constantly touring & has no pressure over chart success. Just to note Meghans not done a tour since 2015.

Off topic but if we're treating this thread as a general Carly discussion... It's Not Christmas Till Somebody Cries is such a bop! It doesn't have the greatest exposure on Spotify though, its biggest playlist is Christmas Is Coming, but it's the last song on the playlist lol. It was streamed 49,431 times on Spotify yesterday. Her cover of Last Christmas is doing slightly better, 59,597 yesterday.
